Re: where are the 3 power NRX spinning rods?
I think the inshore rods have a different power rating. the NRX 843S MR is rated for lures weighing between 3/16 - 3/4oz and the GLX 783s is rated for 3/16 - 5/8 oz weights like the 2 power inshore Loomis rod - NRX 842S MR. keep in mind I have no experience with the inshore NRX rods, just looking at...

where are the 3 power NRX spinning rods?
anyone know of any plans to make the 843s or 853s? I emailed Shimano/Loomis without much luck (see below) --------------------------------------- Hello, Are there plans for more NRX spinning rods in the future? I am mostly interested in a 843 sjr and a 853 jwr model. Thanks, -Z --------------...

Re: 852s - GLX BSR vs NRX JWR
I would still grab the GLX over the NRX for 1/4oz jigs with med trailer,1/4oz worm weight with med worm t-rigs, and for 6" senkos. I will not be selling my BSR 852. that being said, I had a 3/16oz booyah bug jig and a 3" yum craw papi tied on the NRX the other day and it felt perfect. The GLX casts ...

Re: 852s - GLX BSR vs NRX JWR
in case anyone is interested: I have about 16hrs of fishing time with the NRX 852s JWR and I can tell you it is a very different rod from the GLX BSR 852. like mentioned above, the BSR is stiffer. the NRX is more sensitive (love the extra guides), and lighter. definitely better suited for dropshot a...

Re: All Around Spinning Rod
the tip on the glx 803s is light, the lure rating goes up to 5/16oz. the glx 803c goes up to 5/8. i do not like using a 1/4oz arkie jighead with a 4" yamamoto hula grub (7/16 oz total?) on the 803s. bends the tip too much when dragging. id look at a 783 or 843 loomis for an all around spinning rod. ...

Re: 852s - GLX BSR vs NRX JWR
ive been out of the game for a while and didn't realize there was a GLX 852S JWR. the GLX 852S that I own is the BSR version. i have edited the title.
i went ahead and ordered the NRX rod last week from the monster fishing tackle sale.

Re: Found out that we are all wasting money...
sorry, didnt mean to sound so harsh. just trying to get the man into fishing for fun and not for facebook updates. what i meant was: "hey man, the reason you probably got into artificial baits was for the sport of it. for huge fish, go salt." ive had an account on here for years but i think it was d...

Re: Found out that we are all wasting money...
At this point in my life after catching all those other fish and blowing my paychecks on overpriced lures and top of the line rods and reels, I'm just seeing it all as pointless waste of money, especially when the entire point to the sport is size of the fish in the photos. the entire point to the ...
