Re: 7’2″ F5-72XRC Racing Condition by Megabass
A couple of people have it (or used to have it). I seriously inquired about this rod a couple of years ago but never found one, or never pulled the trigger if I did find one. I know for several years Aaron Martens used it (I know as his jerkbait Rod). I believe the consensus was that it was the pred...

Shimano Poison Ultima 174MH-G
Can anyone tell me about the Ultima 174MH-G ? Particularly in regards to power, action, sensitivity, application, etc. From what I can gather: - The rod is made of approx 10% glass, presumably in the upper third. - Per the English translation of the description, the rod is a "partial glass" version ...

Re: Steez AGS Spinning Rods
I'm curious why the 7'6" mml is always brought up as a "special" rod. Shouldn't the ML and M be on the same level as the MML just a little different power? (I guess maybe the MML would be versatile enough to eliminate the need to own the ML and M?). Anyway I've been tempted to buy the ML more than ...

Re: Shipping times nowadays
Ordered from Samurai Friday Night (UPS).Will be at my door in Georgia tomorrow. Still no movement from Apr 14 EMS order. Japan Post website says shipments that were accepted before the US Stop-Shipment can take up to 4 months to ship out... Don't know the validity, but saw the same thing on IG that...

Re: Designo leben and vantage
Wow....Congrats! Those are gorgeous. I've been looking into the Designos a little bit, but have trouble figuring out the different line of rods they have: Leben, Stealth, Vantage, etc. I know the Lebens are what have been mentioned on here in several threads.

Re: We really not gonna talk about the new 2020 Ultima 172H “full carbon triangle grip”?
Finally, a couple of pics to attempt to show action/taper. As mentioned above, I was hung in a brush pile. First pic shows minimal pressure applied. Second pic was "medium" amount of pressure. Rear Handle locked under forearm, holding phone in right hand taking pic, wasn't about to give it everythin...

Re: We really not gonna talk about the new 2020 Ultima 172H “full carbon triangle grip”?
Couple of on the water pics. Please forgive the Daiwa reel on the Shimano rod!! Luckily, the universe did not explode! It had fresh line and I didn't want to take the time to spool up the Metanium. Note: the flat top of the rear grip obviously lays comfortably under the forearm. on water 1.jpg on wa...

The red accent in the monocoque handle. Really shows up in the sun, but otherwise very subtle!

I definitely will try one of these rods. Shimano is really climbing the ladder of rods for me and my arsenal.

Re: Shipping times nowadays
Some news from Japan Postal Service this morning! Confirmation from USPS followed. #SmallVictories Nice! I had two rods leave Japan Friday via FedEx and they were on my porch at 9:30 Monday morning!!! Amazing! However, I have a reel purchased over a month ago that I have no idea where it is!

Re: We really not gonna talk about the new 2020 Ultima 172H “full carbon triangle grip”?
Got the Ultima 172H out for just a little today. Extremely impressive!!! Light and crisp. Just put on a 1/4oz football shakey head with Zoom Mag Finesse worm and drug it around my cove. Rocks and wood felt electric, as the sensitivity was a clear notch above anything I’ve fished (NRX, GLX, X7, Nauti...
