Re: Conquest 50 VS Calcutta 50?
Performance affecting differences: Conquest - 11 ball bearings, 6.2:1 gear ratio, 7.2 oz, wiffle spool. Calcutta - 3 ball bearings, 5:1 gear ratio, 7.9 oz, solid arbor spool. Those factors make a difference in performance to me. Plus, my Conquests just cast a lot better, and are really a great litt...

Re: Conquest 50 VS Calcutta 50?
I didnt find the performence being any different between the two. There's no difference in how the reel fuctions in casting and braking. The difference is in having Clicking dragstar and Clicking Tension knob. The Conquest can be had cheaper the our domestic version. Get the Conquest you get more fo...

Re: problem with clutch on a calcutta
was the reel was dunked ?
When you lubed the reel did you disassemble the whole thing. Sounds like you just need to go through the clutch assembly. I used the CT100 for alot of years and iv had this happen. You just need to regrease the clutch assembly.

Re: C4 Handle Upgrade?
You wont find one much bigger then 85mm. Might aswell just get an aftermarket handle its not like it has to stay on the reel if you decied to stop using it.

Brokeneye said it best. Spinnerbaits chatterbaits topwater baits all work great with a "Crankbait Rod".
I use my St Croix Avid 70MHM about 80 percent of the time. Heck i have even used for weightless Flukes and tubes.

Re: costa del mar
Pretty much all glass lenses are scratch resistant but they break very easy. You cant go wrong with costa's even the wave 400 are very good lenses very clear and crisp. I would see what you can find on ebay.MP 10 wrote:yeah they are the 580s i wanna get they saposed to be scratch resistant too

Re: costa del mar
Yeah they can be had much cheaper but your color combo's may be limited. If they retail for 200+ they are the new wave 580 lens supposed to thinner and lighter. Costa's are among the very best if not THE best at polarized lenses.

Re: Best "dog-walk" topwater lure?
I dont if the sammy is the best i still like the Spook the best. You really need a moderate even fiberglass rod to really work a walk bait.
