Bass fishing and reel speed
Over the years and as what we can see today the fishing tackle seemed to have become more technique specific. And reels is part of that. Reels now come in multiple speeds in the same body and model. I guess I am mainly talking about baitcaster here since it's the main type of reel I use for bass fis...

Re: Rod/reel/line suggestions for worming
Wacky Worming - Senko Style! By Pat Xiques September/October 1999 I realize that it isn't the sexiest worm rig available to man, but does it ever catch fish. I have counted on its effectiveness (awkward appearance and all) during tournaments for the past five years. Most "serious" bass fisherman wou...

Knots for Fluoro and Braided lines?
Hi. What knots do you guys use for fluorocarbon and
braided lines? I have tried a few but haven't found
one that works good for me yet.
Thanks

Looking at the colors of the Peacock bass, I would think they can't be eaten.
Maybe poisonous or something. hehe

Re: Rapala Spinning Rods
Hi. Sorry, can't really help you on this one since
Rapala rods are fairly new. Picked one up
at a local show recently, felt just ok. I probably
wouldn't buy it though. The guides aren't that tough.

Hooks
Hi. Just wondering what type of hooks everyone uses. Anyone try the Matzuo hooks with the angular bend? I was thinking of picking some up and trying it. They claim the design is supposed to be much stronger. I have been using Owners and Gamakatsus, and sometimes Mustad when I know I will lose hooks....

Re: Selecting my first real reel... please help.
Chronarchs are awesome if you are willing to dish out the dough. From the Curado to the Chronarch is a big jump. I am sure you played with both at your local tackle shop right? Did you feel the difference? I have both reels and like them both. But mostly run the Chronarch most of the time with my GL...

Your goto lure
First, hello T3 members! Ok. Now to my question. What's your goto or confident lure for those crappy slow days? For bass fishing I use a while spinnerbait with gold blades. Trout, if they won't bite on anything, mini jig are wonderful. When I travel and make it to saltwater areas, I go for swimbaits...
