Re: Show us your Sol

There is also a blue rays studio spool. I am not sure they still make them in blue, I have been checking ebay and aliexpress every month for like six months now and have not seen one in blue for the Alphas or Pixy. What blank is that you're talking about ? I'm asking because I am also looking for a...

Re: Show us your Sol

Ok, I am leaning more and more towards getting on the Sol-train!

Does anyone make a blue colored finesse spool for the Alphas platform?

Re: Show us your Sol

This is a timely thread as I am looking for a orange reel to go on a BFS rod with a royal blue blank. I was looking at an Amber Orange Pixy, but man, some of those Sols are gorgeous looking. Am I right in thinking that they are just an orange, USDM version of the Alphas 103?

Re: Favorite finesse jig trailers

For very small jigs, a Cross Tail Shad makes an interesting trailer. I did it the first time out of desperation, but it has a nice wiggle when hopped and moves in almost any current.

Re: SV103H with upgrades

Amazing looking.

How are you liking the PG spool in your sv103? I am still hunting up the perfect spool(s) for mine and I am really eager to try one, but I waffled too long and now they are out of stock.

Re: Floating S-Waver?

A word to the wise. Use a net to get the bird in the boat, and turn it upside down, so the bird is pinned to the deck. Then you can use a towel to cover the bird, which will calm it, and let you get to the bait or cut your line loose from the bird, without damage to it or you. That was more or less...

Man, that grip/reel seat does look huge when you see it in hand. I have two MagL/XF IMX rods and am really learning to like the taper. I have one in 5'2" and one at 6'. I would love a longer one but am not a fan of any of the Loomis spinning rod seats I have held. I would buy a custom on that blank ...

Re: Need help ( Bottom contact rod)

I bought an FMJ this spring and so far it has been in my hands maybe half the time I get out fishing, I just can't put it down. Almost every time I go to try a new presentation/lure and am thinking "ok, this is asking too much" the rod surprises me with how versatile it is. If all my gear disappeare...

Re: Favorite dock rig on spinning rod

A guy on another forum turned me onto the wonder that is a Zman Hula Stick on a 1/8oz Slider head. You have to glue the plastic on, but it skips like a dream and gives really good hooksets.

Re: Bass/FLW/MLF

How does one watch MLF these days without a cable package? Last I looked they wanted you to pay for access via some website but it seemed like there was no simple way to stream it directy to my tv. I think the format is far more interesting then the normal “best 5 bass” but they make it harder to wa...

Re: First look at new Megabass Orochi XX rods

Yea, that guy is a tool of the highest order.

In any case, I am finding basicly no info online about the new Leviathan. I feel like it must be decently more powerful then my Huyga, but all I have to compare that rod to is a pair of MB 6-powers.

Worth a watch if your insterested in the Lev..
I don't know what I just watched, but I think the "Published on Sep 27, 2017" would mean it's the old model rod, right?

Re: First look at new Megabass Orochi XX rods

Anyone have experience with the new Leviathan? I want to dedicate this winter to throwing a 68 Special and I want a rod a more powerful than the Hyuga 72H that I throw them on now. I am also looking at the various Dobyn's rods and while there is a ton of info on them there is almost nothing I can fi...

Re: Swimming Unweighted Worms Rod

I cast a weightless trickworm ~.25oz, on a 783 or 723 GLX with pretty good distance for shorter rods. I do use more finesse orientated reels and/or spools though.

You guys got to be careful, the obsession with purple can lead one into some trouble; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsoMVxtKlGM 2 seconds in and my head hurts :crying: Hah, yea, Big Mo was not very good. DJ Screw was great, though the purple got the better of him in the end as well. https://www.y...
