Re: Lews tournament mb brake settings

You may not be alone. A friend bought the same reel about 2 weeks ago. The local shop spooled it for him with braid but they may have overfilled it. It backlashes about every cast with the brakes set pretty strong and the cast control cap tighter than I run them on my Shimanos and Daiwas. My guess w...

Re: Where are the shimanos?

Booty I knew you would be getting the MGL! This reel was on my list of must try reels. Would love to hear your feedback on performance vs the 13 Met. Mainly interested in casting distance of regular baits and also if it is a bit more of a finesse reel. Love the color over the 13 Met. Congrats sir! :D

Re: Coangler Tackle Space?

You bet! I would also add a life vest to my list but the boater may carry a few. Also maybe add a bit of cash to cover boat and vehicle gas and maybe a state park permit or other incidental expenditures. I want to see some coangler show up with a tool chest, porta-poddy, portable closet, and a separ...

Re: Coangler Tackle Space?

I'm wanting to start fishing as a Coangler, and I have questions on equipment. I'm fine on my Rod setup, which will be 4-5 depending if I double up one style. I'm fine with tackle at 4-6 Plano boxes. I've been reading multiple articles on non boater tackle to bring, and I'm at a loss as to how to f...

Nice reels! :D

I don't think I could fish next to a guy with a Stogie for fear of second hand smoke

Re: Northstar

Sure have and the quality is just as good. The owner/business is now based out of WI instead of MN but the skirt material, molds, led, powder painting is 99% identical. I have ordered about 5 times from the new owner with no issues at all. If you have any questions or concerns I believe there is an ...

Re: The Wait Was Worth It!

Thanks for all the great remarks everyone :D Today was the day that I had planned to see what this sucker could do. Prior early week forecast had today setup for upper 60s and partly cloudy. What I found was another story as mother nature decided to shake things up a bit. Temps only hit the low 50s,...

Re: 802c NRX for topwter?

I asked about the 802c several days ago and got some feedback on the rod. This may or may not help you but it's is something to look at.

Re: Coangler Tackle Space?

If you will be fishing with the same boater for an extended period of time I would talk to them in person or on the phone to get the scoop. Chances are they will have many of those items in the boat and availble to share with you whenever needed. I would assume some of the items can be stored in var...

Re: What setup am I missing?

Perhaps a spinning rod? Maybe a cranking rod? As others noted maybe a jig rod of some kind.

Re: G Loomis NRX 802c

Yea I was debating going custom vs the 802. Decided the 802 would work and was ready to order one when I got home from work. Inventory prior to leaving work showed 3+ but 2 hours later it was sold out. ](*,)
