Which G Loomis Swimbait Rod?
I'm thinking about buying a 6 or 7 power Loomis Swimbait rod for 8 inch Huddlestons and Deps 250's. Of the 3 models, all about the same price ($300) which do you prefer: New IMX, Mossyback, or Big Bait/Back Bounce? Thanks.

Shimano Core 100?
Is it gone forever? I loved this reel, why did Shimano discontinue it?

Re: Shimano Aldebaran 2015!
I'm pretty excited about the Metanium, too. It'll be nice to have a relatively light DC reel. Plus it's cheaper than a calais/antares or calcuttachrisjr1981 wrote:I'm a little more excited about the metanium dcs but just a tad more excited.

Re: Which GLX Spinning for Dropshotting?
Can the 821 cast a 1/4 oz dropshot though? The whole rig with worm and hook weighs about 3/8 ounce, the 821 is only rated to 1/4 ounce. I see what you mean though, the line rating is right. I didn't see it because they don't sell them at TW.

Re: Reeling Demographics... are you a righty or lefty
I use right hand baitcasters and left hand spinning reels. Just how I learned. I do a lot of casting with my left hand so I don't have to switch hands on baitcasters. I also flip and pitch with the rod in my left hand. Just makes more sense to me then switching hands.

Which GLX Spinning for Dropshotting?
Which G Loomis GLX spinning is the best for dropshots, tubes, and shakeyheads with 1/16-1/4 ounce weights on 6 lb test line? Loomis doesn't make a dropshot-specific rod, and their line and lure ratings are a little confusing, so I could use some help. Thanks.

Re: Most Sensitive Megabass Rod?
How is the sensitivity on the new Evoluzion C40 compared to the NRX? I'm looking at the new White Python specifically.

Re: Most Sensitive Megabass Rod?
The most sensitive MB rod I own is a X7 Super Eiger. It's easily on par with my NRX893 when comparing sensativity. Both are very different rods though. It's hard to beat an NRX when comparing price vs sensativity. The X4 Super Mirage is very sensitive too, just not quite as sensitive as an NRX. I'm...

Re: Favorite Punch Hook?
That new Owner 4x Jungle flippin' hook looks good! Anyone tried it yet? Owner is by far my favorite brand but they only made 3x hooks for a while... Not heavy enough IMO for punching with 80 lb braid.

Re: Most Sensitive Megabass Rod?
I have been searching for years for the most sensitive bottom contact rods, NRX wins hands down IMHO. The most sensitive MB rod again IMHO is the phase III Bearingdown 1/4 - 1/2 oz. and the X7 Super Eiger 3g - 3/8 oz. My search is never ending I have a custom Phenix K2 being built which will be eva...

Re: How many yards of 25 lb Defier?...
Isn;t answer exactly, but if no one comes along with the answer... If the spec of 17/150 is JDM rated line, like many Daiwas are, then using .134" (Amarillo) diameter and 150 yds, then .159 (25 lb), would be 107 yds...If you use Seaguar diameters of .15 and .17, then the calculation is 117 yds....U...
