Re: weightless plastics
Not sure what category you would put this, but how about a Kinami Palm tree? Imitates a craw and sinks pretty fast. You can cast them a mile w/o weight and hold up better than most other Kinami/Yamamoto stuff.

Re: Supertuning and Brakes
abec7 bearings don't need oil I believe. Using just 1 drop will slow them down a bit. But I would try just 1 brake 1st.

Try a handbag and designer shoes Seriously try fishing slower, and as Spot King said be aware of a different kind of bite than you are used to with cranks. Try a texas rigged Mann's jelly worm or zoom trick worm. Don't be afraid to cast into weedy areas, and don't rush.

Yes they sure are, just have to adjust to the speed when switching back and forth between the C-5s, and C-3s.mck1975 wrote:Abu Garcia's Ambassadeur 6600C4, sure has been a solid reel.
Super simple to work on, lots of gear and bearing updates if needed.

Re: Round reels, only?
Current round reels
Abu Garcia C-3,C-4,C-5 Mag,C-4 Mag
But my favorite is my Cabela's Prodigy round reels (3) dual cast control, floating spool.
These are similar (maybe same/copy) Ryobi Varius.
