Re: What color Senko should I use?

Color I always liked, especially for 5" or under, was the Smoke Hologram Blue Purple Silver Laminate. Just a very baitfish looking color and always worked well. I've known people to swear by the "Red Shad" 2 tone color, in not just Senko's but many other worms, I have just never personally succeeded...

Re: 2024 Releases/Rumors

Why did it took them almost half a decade to add dc brakes into a 2020 reel? Its not like they had to build a brand new frame and a digital braking system. I could be wrong on this, but this new Metanium DC looks like it's a bit wider than the non-DC version. Only makes sense since the 20 Metanium ...

Dat be a dang beeg rodent... world's largest. 8-)
The family literally asked that I don't post the location of where the Capybara was spotted for fear that a Gert-beat redneck might shoot it. There are some amazing people in the deep South but there are also some bad ones.

Arkansas Capybara

So a few days ago one of the wildest stories of my life happened. I had been fishing a lot the last few months even though recently I haven't fished much. September 30th I took a picture of an animal I thought was just a big Nutria (a big river rodent I had never personally seen). Well I got to desc...

I'm struggling to see what's new? Sealed handle and bail roller?
Yeah I don't see much change either.

Re: New Certate?

I am curious to see where the price of this new Certate falls. I was scared to order another Stradic FM due to one having issues, might either wait for the next Vanford iteration or just get this Certate.

Re: Calcutta Conquest SE

Hope the US dollar recovers a bit before this reel arrives. It got to a high of like 151 last I saw, now it is closer to 142.

New Certate will be released in December
This excites me along with the Conquest SE. Just hoping it won't let me down like my last spinning reel purchase...

Re: Underestimated Lures (or Unappreciated)

Laughed and thought of this thread scrolling through TW... They have a Banjo Minnow kit for $40, maybe they are making a comeback or underappreciated??? Lol LMAO. Rapala Floating minnows are very underappreciated in today's world with so many lure options that are floating/sub surface, it is regula...

Re: Calcutta Conquest SE

I will be buying the Conquest SE for sure. Might save the refund I got for my busted Stradic FM and use it to lessen the sting of the SE. Really hope the make the improvement for casting better than that of the Metanium Shallow Edition (versus regular spool). In the Metanium aspect, the shallow spoo...

So just under 400, if it has a clicking drag then I’m sold….
I would bet anything it does. I am guessing it will be identical to the 100HG, but with a shallow spool and gunmetal color. That is good though, 100HG is one of the best reels of all time (that I've used).

Re: 22 Aldeberan BFS Line Choice Help

Using 8lb InvizX on mine, holds plenty and casts great. Concerning Sufix, their 6lb is .006"/.14mm and original PowerPro 15lb is .008"/.19mm, so they aren't way off. Sufix is always known as thicker braid. I have used the 6lb and 8lb both for BFS on DIY spools and it was great.
