Got a 7:1 kit for the reel today from masterbass

put everything in where it should be and the reel works flawlessly. Old set of gears must have been bad.

The cause of the problem is that the 103ML R+'s are known to be junk. The best solution is to just get rid of it. the retrieve is like a coffee grinder. every single turn of the handle feels "grindy" which would mean that every spot on the gears is bad i think? maybe not. seems the gear sets could be out of stock for a while and i'm hoping somebody knows the fix to this.
