Re: Megabass 2016 Destroyer vs X7

Gary brings up a really good point. One thing I’ve learned in my short quest for more and more Megabass rods is that no matter the price, there are certain standouts in each lineup. Those become very sought after, often difficult to find and sort of take on a life of their own. It might have that pe...

6th Sense MVMT Rods

I stumbled across these on Instagram this morning. I'm a fan of 6th Sense lures. I find it pretty intriguing that they are entering the rod market. I was wondering if anyone had any information on these? I'm curious to see price point/components/blank material, etc.

Re: Ideas: 7'-7'4 mod-fast rod

Ideally, the 7'2" X4 Destruction would have been the bees knees for you. That was one bad stick I'd agree, but way over his stated budget. That's why I suggested the Megabass Hyuga 72H. It's as close as it's going to get to the X4 Destruction anywhere near a $200 budget... it's a great rod and guys...

Re: Mega bass square bill rod question

If you decide that the Diablo isn't what you'd like in a squarebill rod or you just decide to use it for something else, the two rods you suggested in the OP would be perfect for squarebills. I use the Black Jungle SFMS for squarebills and it's awesome. It has a forgiving tip that you want for trebl...

Re: **Soft jerk bait/sluggo/fluke rod suggestions preferably MB**

I really enjoy the Orochi XX EMTF for throwing Flukes and it's a great Senko rod as well. I will also throw a drop shot, c-rigs, jigs, crankbaits, and much more on it. It's a really versatile and sensitive rod and it's always on the deck. I have it paired with a Steez SV103. I may be way off base he...

For you braid users...

Over the last couple of seasons, I have been trying to use more braid. However, I find that I am just a lot more confident with fluorocarbon. My question is basically...how long is your leader? Does your leader length change on bottom contact applications vs moving bait applications (i.e. fishing a ...
