Re: RI Boom Boom Tube Discontinued

What's special about that tube? It just looks like any other tube to me. The Net Bait BK tube seems to be similar but it has a solid tip. They were the softest, yet thickest walled tubes I've found. Softer than a Tender Tube. Great for heavy cover flipping, but also deep open water where they produ...

RI Boom Boom Tube Discontinued

I noticed that TWH no longer carried the RI boom boom tube, I emailed reaction innovations and they confirmed that they indeed are discontinuing them. This is a bummer for me as I have been a huge fan of that bait for weed lines and docks or anywhere where blue gill is a major forage. I'm trying to ...

Re: which buzzbait

I hated fishing buzzbaits until i finally tried the cavitrons, i will never try another brand ever. Everything about them is awesome, run straight, squeel exactly how you want them to, have a great hook on them that is long enough that you don't need a trailer and they cast great. Are you using the...

Re: Best Buzz Frog/Toad

Many here will dismiss it because it's cheap, but the Mann's Hard Nose toad is as good as any when they're keyed in on the toad. I keep it simple by rigging it on a single 4/0 Gammy EWG hook (a 5/0 will fit nicely as well) No screw lock or anything of the sort necessary, the hard plastic head keeps...

Re: Best Buzz Frog/Toad

Re: Best Buzz Frog/Toad

I like the ribbit's action but i can't throw it very far, i imagine the bull ribbits would cast farther?

Best Buzz Frog/Toad

There are days when a buzz toad is the absolute deal, but man i HATE throwing them because of several reasons: 1) they roll over and catch grass 2) they roll over and catch grass 3) did i mention they roll over? I have used horny toads, trixie sharks, and ribbits. I like the weight of the horny toad...

Lexa 100 noise

Had this on the Daiwa support forum but wasn't getting any hits so i thought i would check here: I have always been a Shimano guy, but TWH has Lexa's on sale for $70 and I couldn't pass it up as I had heard they are good reels. I got the reel the other day, took it out of the box and gave the handle...

Daiwa Lexa 100 Noise

I have always been a Shimano guy, but TWH has Lexa's on sale for $70 and I coudn't pass it up as I had heard they are good reels. I got the reel the other day, took it out of the box and gave the handle a spin and it makes a clearly audible noise, almost a clinking noise when I give the handle a spi...

Re: Copoly v Flouro: Sensitivity

For the record, I was yanking 1.5 oz or greater for distance each time. I've not had issue with 1 oz or less and I'm sure 12 lb test may have contributed to my problem, but it was still a problem. I've never had this issue with a quality copolymer. Old school, I know, but it is what it is. that see...

Re: Copoly v Flouro: Sensitivity

Fluorocarbon rarely ties a good knot What kind of knots you tying? "rarely" suggests that occasionally it does, but most of the time it doesn't....not sure you mean most flouro brands don't tie a good knot or? I have a few complaints about flouro but knot strength isn't one of them. To me the upsid...

Re: wacky hook

Green owner wacky rig hooks are what i have settled on 1/0 usually.

I think rod has as much to do with it as the hook, i missed a lot of fish with many different hooks until i went to a good whippy ML spinning rod. I use a bigger hook with a casting rod.
