Re: Budget Sweet Spot... Casting Reels
I've been moving towards Daiwa and Lew's. The midgrade reels from both are incredible. I'm shocked the totals are as low as they are from $200-250.

Re: Are we destroying our Gear Sets by pulling out snag?
Sometimes I have discovered it is easier to break off than to risk damage to a $200 reel.

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!
Caught this pig on a Chatterbait Elite on my SBR752 and an old TDS with 12lb Hi Seas copoly. Combo worked well together. I found a lighter reel to slap on it, a 7.1 Lew's, which makes it easier to tote around when I'm wading or floating creeks.

Re: Who is the MOST over rated ?
Really...Apparently you didn't do your homework before you responded. The Lamiglass reference was way back when Dobyn's first started making rods. I see an agenda, but that's neither here nor there. My Loomis SBR752 is the most nicely appointed rod I own. It is perfect for creeking or fishing small...

Re: Crankbait reel
Honestly, I toss cranks on a 6.x ratio. I find the lower ratios too slow for how and where I fish. I simply don't crank deeper than 8 feet here.

Re: Favorite Chatterbait
The availability is really bad, but I am well prepared for this season... IMG_20181021_155005_9-01-03.jpeg I assume you got those from overseas. I just unloaded my Deraballs as I don't think I'd toss them much. As a guy who fishes some smaller creeks, those Dera Breaks interest me quite a bit.

I'd go for it. Feel Free makes a really nice boat for a great price. Grab it and fish the heck out of it.

Alternatives to my rod
Hey all, I have an old, red SBR752 and I'm wondering what another alternative, relatively same length, power, etc would be. I like this rod with my Lew's SS1SH and 12# copoly for wading and floating smaller waters from the yak. I'd love to find a similar, comparable stick to put a Tournament Pro 6.4...

Re: Your 3 go to/favorite baits, and three you hate?
My 3 go to are different on my local lakes and ponds vs the Ozark rivers I love, so first, local stuff: Go to: 1-chatterbait 2-weightless T-Rigged Trick Worm 3-spinnerbait Hate: 1-jig (mossy, crappy bottoms) 2-walking plugs 3-crankbaits (see jigs) Rivers Go to: 1-spinnerbait 2-3" Hi Def craw on Stea...

I've never used Kistler or Lamiglas, but I have to say my Damiki Dark Angels fall in this category.
