Re: 2 more broken MB rods...Ughhhh
As far as boat flipping a fish goes, I believe it is an art in itself. You can’t just lift the fish out of the water at any point and hoist it in the boat or you can essentially high stick the rod. If you have the fishes momentum coming towards the gunwale you can put enough pressure on the fish to ...

Re: Looking for a swim bait rod 2-5 oz
Megabass destroyer T.S Black jack is the one your looking for Ordered one from the Hookup Tackle. It will replace the Onager, that I will sell when it returns. The KLX will become my saltwater big stick! I don’t have an onager but I do have a few USA destroyers, one of which I broke and the build b...

Re: Evergreen TKIC Egoist Black
It will definitely handle a chatterbait in your range just fine. It’s going to feel like your driving on the rumble strip reeling that in lol. I personally feel it shines as bottom contact but to each his own. Buy it and fish the s out it.

Balance is on locknut with a sv103. It is the most sensitive rod I have fished and it is a true fast taper. What are you planing to use it for? If you need a little more nut look at the gunslinger, a little less black raven.

Re: Evergreen TKIC Egoist Black
I have the egoist tournament. I believe the cork and the Eva are the only difference. I would say 1/4 to 1/2 is were it is comfortable and 3/4 max and 1/8 min. The rod is extremely sensitive and comfortable to fish. I use it for trigs. It’s on the boat so no pictures, but would be happy to answer an...

I’m running 80lb maxquattro to 30lb sunline fluorocarbon leader with an fg knot. New to the big bait game but haven’t had any trouble with connection, just connecting with a fish. Lol

Re: Dobyns Fury Casting Rod 7' Med Hvy Cranking
I’ve been fishing one almost a year now. The rod balances great, fatigue is not a factor. After fishing it a while using 12lb mono throwing mostly squarebills and ploppers I had a run of bad luck losing fish, I chalked it up to the rod being too weak combined with stretchy mono to get a good hookse...
