Any mh fast action rod will do. I use a duckett white ice 7'3" and it is perfect for spooks. Imo anything longer than 7'3" will be too long and harder to work the bait.

flushing the stock bearings on the met is all you need, it'll make a whole lot of a difference.

I bought a used Dobyns 704 cb glass from a buddy. Everything on the rod is mint except the line guides, they are pretty darn dirty. I tried cleaning them with alcohol and vinegar using a q tip but it is not as clean as I would like it to be. Any tips would be appreciated.

I lost my instructions for installing the air bfs red hedgehog bearings for a shimano core 50. Does it matter which side the bearing is installed?

Its pretty bad when you write your repair request and its not read properly. I did get a full refund so I can't complain on that. Where is the shimano forum?

So I dropped my ci4 stradic in the water. It was submerged for a good 30 minutes. I had a bad experience sending my reels to shimano for service. I need this reel serviced the right way, nothing is broken, just dried and not as smooth. Any reputable guys who does this on the side get in touch with me.

For those who own this reel, how far can you launch your lures? I upgraded mine with boca abec 7 bearings. I fish it on a crucial 7'9" umbrella rig rod with 20lb mono.
