Artex R2

New offering from DRT for 2019-2020. The Artex R2. http://kuroisakana.blogspot.com/?m=1 i would love to be able to try one of these sabres one day. But alas. Priced very reasonably at 72k yen, supply and demand takes it out of my reach. These must of just been released and already someone put one up...

Re: 2019 Best Buy

another Best Buy of mine is the Valkarie rod 7'1" Spiral wrapped rod Honestly, It is a VERY versatile rod, Chatterbaits is no problem, SB, jigs, worms , to topwater. I would recommend this rod to any boat or bank angler alike. I've spent some time with this stick and I would dare to say you will lo...

Re: 2020 Zillion 10

Nothing unexpected with the 10. It casts for you. Of the SVs I've fished, maybe the most impossible for me to backlash when casting as hard as I can directly into wind. It still amazes me after all these years how easy it is to cast for distance directly into 15 mph wind. It does not feel 'torquy' ...

Re: Have you added a drone to your tackle kit?

This is not at all my deal, but more power to guys who can use them to make videos. Handle a boat, use nav, fish (somehow they find the time) and then throw in a drone to capture shots from above! Like I said, not my bag at all (would drive me nuts), but I do enjoy watching their work. I know it’s a...

Re: DRT baits ?

By the way; almost forgot to provide info on the original question. If you look on the DRT japan website, there is a link to the main dude’s blog. I’ve looked at some of this in the past. It do recall that he provided a priori drop dates for rods on his blog. Also he gave store locations for these a...

Re: DRT baits ?

I have casually admired DRT from a far for quite some time now. From things I’ve read and based on what I’ve seen, it all looks top notch in form and function. I was lucky to get a varial handle at msrp and based on that little actual experience with their gear, I can say it’s certainly refined, tou...

Re: Evergreen Rapid Gunner RSR

I’m still hoping that a new (something longer than 7.1) might be released in the steez RD series in 2020. I have no reason to believe so, but just hoping. Otherwise, this rod is at the top of my wish list. I have an RS rod, so pretty much know what they look like, but more pictures do add to the fun...

Curiosity regarding Zillion Deps DR-100ZX

I regularly fish a 700-800 yard stretch of bank I consider 'my hole'. This is a time of year a lot of non-resident big girls come in and this will last until the beginning of Feb. I hooked into one yesterday. Had three rods with me one of them had an old reel (the Deps in my subject line). Long stor...

Re: Flip Pitch Punch Reel

 Yeah; I was trying to imagine myself setting the hook and realized that I must not take my hand off the handle sometimes. The soreness in my hand after that last break clued me in. Did not even realize I was doing that at times. Whoa! So how does this happen? Been trying to visualize it...

Re: Flip Pitch Punch Reel

It's been the first longish stretch of cold in FL, so the bite changed on me. It's been a bit sparse for my liking. So, perhaps I was a bit trigger happy this morning :o
