Re: Reverting to Straight shank worm hooks

I have always use straight shank hooks for most of my T-rig applications. For T-rigs I use the Gamakatsu G-finesse heavy cover and I will use it on line from 10 to 15 lb. for my light wire stuff like Cal I use the new G-finesse light wire. John Murray did a video of why he prefers a straight shank f...

Re: ICAST 2018 Rumors

Zona is now fishing with Seaguar so he must have mentioned the Power Pro early last year. Seaguar has a new braid coming out that is pretty sick.

Re: ICAST 2018 Rumors

If you watch Zona live Seth is fishing with the new CG reel and when he palms the reel you can barely see the top so I assume it's small size will palm well.

Re: NEW: Daiwa Tatula 100 (based off Steez)

The new sanded cork are the revised Tatula rods. The Elite rods are still going to be silver with EVA.

As for he Zillion casting reel rumor has it they are being discontinued due to the new Tatula variants.

The new Kage swimbait rods with cork and are pretty sweet looking.

Re: Tatula Elite AGS M/MH for Jerkbait?

The M/MH is a little on the stiffer side for a M/MH it is great for bottom contact and I do use it for flukes but with hard jerkbaits and I can see pulling the trebles might be an issue. I use the Steez XT M for my jerkbaits and it is awesome for reaction baits.

Re: Evergreen 7'11" Combat Stick

Thanks for the input. I just picked up the 7'11" and really like the feel of it. Gonna pair it with a Zillion 9:1 to see how it works out. If I don't like the 9:1 on it I will put a Zillion SV TW on it.

Evergreen 7'11" Combat Stick

Anyone fish this rod? I was checking it out last week and it seems like a pretty good rod for picthin and flippin. The chatterbait rod felt nice too.

Please don't tell me about other rods as in true TT fashion. I only want to know about the Combat Sticks.

Re: What rods do you thinks we'll see debut at the Classic?

More and more companies are releasing new products at the classic. One big plus is when they do they are usually up for sale then. I believe Daiwa is releasing the new Tatula 150 along with some new rods. I wonder if it an upgraded Zillion or a whole new line of rods since the Zillions is no longer ...

Re: Daiwa Zillion Rods Discontinued?!?

They just released the Saltist back bay and today they released the updated BG spinning reel. Saying they are the next generation. Leaner and meaner from a 1500 size to 8000 size. Lighter in weight is what they are saying.

On IG they announced the new Proteus WN rods and new look VIP Boat rods.

Re: Zillion Jerbait Rod (7' ML)

It is a great rod for jerkbaits, topwater, small swimbaits and squarebills.

Daiwa has removed the Zillion line from their website so they may be discontinued or are being revamped. They plan on releasing new products at the classic.

Re: Best Bottom Contact Rod From Daiwa nonjdm

There is no way on earth the Light & Tough is better than the Steez. I have been fishing Daiwa for years and the Steez is an awesome rod. I'm mainly a bottom contact fisherman and I have fished lots of rods and the Steez is one of the best rods I've ever fished. We all have our preferences but the L...
