Re: Purchasing anodized dress up parts
There is one other option that I know of in the US. That company is called Hawgtech. Go to their website and checkout Star Drags and cast control caps. They are pretty spendy but if you were doing a bulk order they may be willing to do a discount on your order. I also donn't know if they do internat...

Re: Do you still fish a med 6'6 fast rod?
I don't have a rod right now that fits those specs. However I do have a 6 foot casting rod that I still use for topwater and jerkbaits. It is one of the older Team Daiwa rods and is still in good condition considering it is probably 20+ years old.

Nice combo Matt! You are always sporting pretty hip BFS gear! What is your favorite BFS casting reel and spool combination?

Re: Holding Out On Megabass? Don't Read This
Love the looks and the price but the reviews seem a bit disappointing from users. Would have been willing to spend another $50 for better balance and bit better feel.

Re: Curado E vs Curado I
I would suggest purchasing one "E" series reel and one "I" series reel and fishing both for a bit and then you decide. Some love the E series and some prefer the I series. I have plenty of E series reels but just recently added an I series Curado. Have only backyard casted it but it seems pretty nice.

Re: Curado 70XG first... And second impressions
You could always purchase power septon knobs for it. If the handle is too short you could buy a longer handle such as that from the 13 Met. You purchased a Shimano's 70 series reel which is basically the replacement for the 50 platform. This size is between a BFS reel and a normal sized casting reel...

Re: Zodias 6'8" ML...Ci4+ 1000 or 2500?
Not the case for "most" bass anglers. A-Mart has plenty of videos where he references line size on a spinning reel. He uses 7# the most but will dip down even smaller in some situations. IMO there gets to me line mgmt. issues going above 8# flouro unless it happens to be one with smaller diameter. D...

Re: Shimano Exsence DC modifications?
You will shave a small amount of weight buy replacing the stock hand with a Carbon Fiber handle. You could also replace the stock knobs with something smaller or lighter. It won't make too much difference in noticeable weigh IMO. The gears aren't changeable. The frame is aluminum like the Chronarch ...

Re: Zodias 6'8" ML...Ci4+ 1000 or 2500?
the 1000 sized reel isn't great for leverage if your fighting decent sized bass. outside of reel weight (which I do recognize is the most important thing to 90% of anglers on this board), if the 2500 and 3000 sized reel is the same, aside from a deeper spool in the 3000, why would an angler want to...
