I have a inflatable boat, but setup by myself sometimes is just hard, always want to try get a kayak, but I am not a good swimmer, what I understand is inflatable boat is much safer than a kayak, am I right?

I fish the same lakes and ponds all year round and sometimes will try and fish a new lake/pond. I LOVE fishing shallow water and I am definitely a Flippin and Pitchin kind of guy.
