Re: Buying Tackle Online...Yes or No??
The DSG where I live has a pretty good selection of rods and reels. I would never buy a rod and reel online after the horror stories I hear with the shipping (prices, and how the postal workers handle it )

Re: Metanium and Antares
Bantam, will there be any other baitcasting reels released this year? Possibly JDM reels moving to the USDM market as well?
The antares and metanium are out of my price range.

Re: Anatares & Metanium (USA)
Does the antares have the same body as the older Calais 100 and 200 (not the DC one)?

Re: New reel for a new rod
are the upgrades from the tatula to the tatula type r worth it? can you really tell the difference when fishing it? i like $150, but $200 is very doable. The type r doesn't seem to have too many upgrades... The upgrades that the type r has include: a zion star drag, faster gear ratio option, lighte...

I read something about magnetic bails somewhere. Do any companies currently use this?

Which spinning reel company?
I have had a few issues in the past with bails on spinning reels. The main problems include not flipping over, or the bail spring breaks or the bail won't stay open. Which maker do you think makes the best bail system? I have heard that Pflueger's sure click (I think that's what it is called, correc...

Daiwa tatula. It is made of stronger components, and has great reviews.

Re: Boca OS7 on Core 50/51 - Feedback
I have one with and one without. Honestly not a huge difference but I also haven't had a reason to test their pitching/casting on the light end. Haven't really gone under 1/4 oz with them. Free spool times are better but real world with medium sized baits, it hasn't really mattered. In my experienc...

Re: UL setup under $100?
Thanks for the replies everyone!
I'm liking the 500 sized shimano reels alot. Seems like the perfect line capacity and everyone says they're great.

UL setup under $100?
I will be getting an ultralight set-up sometime this winter, and I need some recommendations. I am trying to keep it under 100 cause I won't be using it as much as other rods.
Which rod and reel would you suggest?
Thanks
