Re: Daiwa 2018 SV LIGHT LTD-TN

Based on SS SV
Spool is 32mm in diameter. So opens options for spool options for those that own Air reels from Daiwa

Re: Used round reels ????

I've owned and used the Morrums, CQ51/101, CVZ 103L, and various Monoblocks. I still have my CVZ and Morrums. Everything else sold.
I like them as they do it all for me.

Re: Your favorite light drop shot blank

I liked the 822.5 in RX7 for what you mentioned. Worked great as a moving bait rod as well.
I have the PB661LF, but cut 6 inches from the butt. I'd imagine the 7' XF in similar power would be sufficient for what you're wanting to do. Surprising amount of backbone in the PB66LF.

Shadley, made and painted by Pizz

Hinkles, you'll be spending time waiting on the baits due to wait lists and what not. Not so sure on the Shadley, but I can't imagine the wait times being as long as the Hinkle.

Spanks(Bryan) or Ian are who I'd trust my reels to. Top grade guys and service for sure.

Re: Spool Questions ZPI/G1

Thanks for sharing. I like the zpi in my t3mx in all around mode and brakes around 8. The spool is fast. It was too fast for my og steez. You said the 1012 is wild in the og steez as well. Is this the sv1012 which is in the steez sv tw xh? Believe the SV1012 he mentions is the 9g SLP G1 variant tha...

SLP SV105 variants for the Steez are purple, red, and orange. SV Steez 6.3 has the orange 105 spool. The Steez Limited XH/XHL came in a 105 spool size. 103 came in the TN special, as well as SLP releasing the 3 color variants as well.

Re: Daiwa Kyohga vs Shrapnel line capacities?

Two different reels I'd imagine.
Shrapnel is equivalent to a Shimano Conquest 400 in regards to line capacity.
The Kyohga would fall in line with the Ryoga 1016 I'd imagine since they list it as a 100 size.
Should have more than enough line capacity with both reels if using the braid you specified.

Re: ZPI NRC001-M Spool vs RCS 1012 sv G1?

The M is a bit faster than the PG. Tested both in a TDZ R over the weekend. 1/2 oz Red eye shad was the lure of choice, 12# PLine original, all riding on a TKIC-SS. No idea on distances, but I was able to get similar distances between both spools. Mags at 2-2.5 with the PG, 4 on the M. Any lower on ...

It can be done. Avail Morrum drag star kit and PX-R drive shaft will get you your clicks

Re: CV-Z Spool Options

You can use the stock pinion shaft if using the stock spool and aftermarket CV-Z options. Otherwise, swapping out the shaft to that of a TDZ/Steez will open you to the whole gamut of Steez/TDZ spool options. Thank you for the response. I'm assuming when it comes to the Steez options it pertains to ...
