Re: High speed gearing for Daiwa cvz 203
I wonder if they're the same gears as the OG zillions. The 103 sized Lunas/Millionaires use Alphas gears, so it may be worth a shot if you have an OG Zillion gearset.

Re: Bfs rod questions
Being nitpicky here but steam and area trout casting rods are not BFS. There is a reason the Finetail is not the "Finetail BFS". BFS rods are bass rods and are built completely different from trout rods. BFS rods have much more power and backbone for targeting bass in cover with light baits. Very t...

Re: Tatula Elite vs Curado K
It seems to me that Daiwas work better with a fluid casting motion, so if you put one on a crisp rod that loads well the effortlessness of the cast is only match by the difficulty of wiping the smile off your face.

Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's
Been fancying the Zillion frame as of late, so hunted down what I think are the prettiest ones... Very Nice zillions there! Those bass or die knobs look awesome on your 50th. x3 been looking for them lately as well and kinda regret selling a few off ](*,) ×4 I kinda regret not getting an SV10...

Re: Getting into BFS
In my BFS spools with port holes I have spooled directly braid. Because with holes arbor knot can be locked not to slip. Spools without holes I have anchored with bottom mono. Bottom mono doesn't protect spool but it provides friction. Actually one of my spool was adviced not to use mono, because m...

Re: Seditions and some others.
Looks like the Crux Doomrider finally rode into town. Might need PN to mash together a Zillion to match this wand. https://www.popeyeweb.jp/SHOP/doomrider.html Sendo needs to get off his noodles and just re-release the spiral wrapped Cristobal already.. Doomrider.jpeg That rod is beautiful and my s...

Re: Protecting reels from scratches
I am quite careful and always keep them covered but bobber and egg fishing for salmon and having to rebait every few casts makes it impractical to cover reel every time..... If only i had a third arm! Lol, maybe a fourth just to balance it out. Like Goro from Mortal Kombat fishing two rods at once.

Re: What are you cranking with?
I use a Calcutta Conquest 101 with braid on a St Croix legend tournament glass rod. Its like the best of both worlds, braid for casting and crankbait depth with glass to keep my fish pinned :big grin: Love it... Hear hear. I have a few glass rods and they are money with braid. Actually, it seems I'...

Re: Aluminum dragstar for coastal sv tw
That second one is Zaion, but they look awesome. You missed out on the Morethan Al stars from TT. You might ask if they're getting more. That would look pretty slick, too.

Re: Aluminum dragstar for coastal sv tw
Do you have the schematic? If it has a square bolt and spring then it will accept the same star as the new Zillions. If that's the case, you can get one of these: https://www.hedgehog-studio.co.jp/phone/product/4070

Re: Protecting reels from scratches
That's an interesting solution. I don't know how well it would work for the majority of my reels, though. I always keep my cover in my back pocket and put it back on the reel if I have to retie or put it down for any reason and then as soon as I'm finished with that combo before I pick up another on...
