Schematics say there's a washer and c clip retainer under the bearing at the bottom of the drive shaft under the retainer with the little nightmare screw.

thanks for the info 1.72 ounces works for me as I just sent for a hm 704 and 705 and heard conflicting weights of the blanks. Like I said before that rods a beauty and can't stop looking at that "heavy cork" I used to use 5 pieces for the rear grip but will try less now.

Far as I know it's the second time for 50% off sale and I remember being pissed off when I didn't get in on the first one. While I'm at it, which blank do you guys think would be good for a bfs rod. I'm leaning toward getting another dropshot blank but am thinking of something shorter.
