Re: MAXCUATRO LINE DIAMETER WARNING
A lot of companies lie about the diameter. That's why I like pure fishing's products, they don't lie.

Re: Line Twist?
One of those fat-spool reels might help, such as BPS reels, Lew's, Pflueger Arbor, etc. Less rotations per length of line = less twist.

Re: Mono fishing line diameter
Some manufacturer's list line diameter on the package. Sometimes those numbers are wrong (when they are wrong, the line is usually bigger than advertised). You can measure it with a caliper. I've found the Pure Fishing brands, Stren, Spiderwire, and Berkley to be accurate to the labels. The best way...

Re: Trilene
Trilene 100% is supposed to be like an XT style fluoro.
XL Fluoro is supposed to be softer for spinning reels.

Re: Ironsilk...Opinions?
If you were comparing the big game and ironsilk of the same lb. test, the big game would seem to stretch less - it's thicker. You would have to be able to find identical diameters for a fair comparison. Big game is Berkley's stretchiest line. The devil is in the details.

Re: Copoly v Flouro: Sensitivity
Vibrations travel faster in denser materials, and fluoro is almost twice as dense as mono. Do the math

Re: Ironsilk...Opinions?
Ironsilk, along with Spiderwire Ultimate mono, are the two lowest stretch mono's in the Pure Fishing catalog. They are about as low stretch as mono gets. Unless they changed the formula significantly, which I seriously doubt... they usually give a line a new name if they change it very much. From wh...

Re: mono?
Stren Magnathin is the lowest-stretch line which won't pull hooks, it's the ultimate crankbait line. There are a couple that are lower stretch but will miss fish. Most other monos out there are higher stretch than the Magnathin. Sizes run small, so buy by diameter.

Is that the one which had titanium in the butt section of the rod? It was supposed to up the sensitivity of the rod.

Re: What are your top 5 tools as a fisher man please Rank!
1) Senko - why just fish when you can catch?! You can take my hook, rod, reel, but don't take my bait! 2) Hook - Nobody said hooks! Some hooks are stronger/sharper/penetrate better than others. 3) Reel - there is a big difference in reel weights, as much as 2X difference - lighter is better and more...

Re: Anyone Try Gliss Fishing Line Yet?
I was reading about this line... apparently it's made of the same stuff that braid is made from, but it's a single mono strand. Could be interesting... and it looks like the price could approach mono. If it shows up in the States I might try a spool.

Re: Looking for help with P Line
CXX is a little lower stretch than XT.
XT has a tremendous combination of knot strength and shock strength, it's hard to break off with that line.
For you guys who like CXX, you should try Stren Brute Strength... It's a clone of CXX without the memory. Just watch the line diameters, they run big.

Re: Mono stretch
Monos can vary in stretch from about 20% - 33%. Try a lower stretch mono. Some that I like are Stren magnathin and Brute Strength, and Berkeley Ironsilk. A few other low-stretch monos: Spiderwire Ultimate, P-line Evolution, Silver Thread AN 40, Berkley Sensation.
