After watching the linked video I will most likely be going with a stadic for my next spinning reel.
I have 3 high end reels already and can not see myself laying down the coin for such a small enhancement.
It will be a Stella or stradic.

Re: G. Loomis MBR 842 GLX
I have the MBR 842 GLX and use it for jerk baits as well as a drop shot rod. I think it would make an excellent small crank rod.
I don't have a 782 to compare.

This, he goes back through the loop from the opposite side.adam lancia wrote:As far as I can tell, he's going out the opposite way. So far, just testing the knot on the workbench, it's holding great.

If you don't want to lay down the cash, don't try one! Because if you do it will be all you think about till you scratch that itch.smallies wrote:Im scared to try a Stella, I love my Stradics and dont want to feel obligated to spend that much money

I really like this answer! There are only a couple of people that I would trust with my high end gear.smallies wrote:I let them use my Dobyns rods since the warranties are so good that if they break them, they only pay a small price lol

Re: Exsence vs Exsence Ci4+
I just received my Esence and am not impressed when compared to my Stella's. It is not as smooth and balanced in the rotor as well as the spool being a composite material. A very nice reel, but just lacking in my eyes for the price point.
I will give it some time and see if my opinion changes.

Re: Megabass Destroyer Addermine vs G Loomis NRX 852S JWR
Both are great rods and would serve you well, but you stated you are mostly looking for bottom contact. For that I would lean heavily toward the NRX 852. It is what it was designed for. If you would be ok with a softer tip, the Addermine would be a little more flexible. You are correct I did say th...

Re: Reeling Demographics... are you a righty or lefty
I reel and cast with both hands. I prefer a right hand reel for bait casters and a left hand reel for spinning gear. The thing is though that I cast a lot more with my right hand and switch the rod over to my left hand with bait casters. Not always, but enough. Trying to use my left hand more though...

Re: Is it Daiwa, Shimano, or someone else?
I have both , Shimano and Daiwa. I tend to prefer the Shimanos a little more. The Daiwa has a few features that make them more user friendly for certain applications for me. I am not a fan of the T wing system, but I have a few reels with them.
