I've had the same issue with my Daemos in the past. A lighter wire hook and texposing helps, ultimately I started using a FMJ.

Haven't used GYCB products in years.... Can't justify the price for a bait that tears that easy and IMHO doesn't catch any more fish than a YUM Dinger, Gambler Ace, or some other knock offs I've purchased at 1/2 the price of GYCB. Skipping a T-Rigged GYCB Senko is akin to burning money.

Don't do it!!! I can't tell you how many times I've had a tournament partner or buddy throw a frog with mono or fluoro 'in a pinch' because they weren't prepared. $$$$.$$ worth of lost fish later, they have all learned their lesson. Broke a Megabass Black Jungle Frog Rod on the hookset after fishing with it for only a few hours this past summer. First rod I've had break in years, which is kind of surprising considering my hookset and I fish a lot with braid in heavy cover a lot.

Wish they had some that were smaller than the monstrosities I've seen. Great idea, particularly for a saltwater rod!

Not sure if this qualifies, but a Manns Mid-1 has been pretty good for me over the years. Lots of color options and a reasonable price.

1/2oz buzzbait. Black Blade, black skirt. Couple different brands over the years. Don't throw it enough, but its definitely been a good big fish bait for me.

Bomber Square A 3/8oz. Small, inexpensive, and throw pretty decent on baitcasting gear.
