was in the same situation recently wanting another steez rod, I ended up getting a strike flanker (only because i havent seen many ags reviews and i own a harrier f-spec which is a decent rod), but the ags is on my list to get

hi, i have used both and in my hands they fish the same...
x7 +'s ~ not as expensive, easier to get, excellent build quality
x7 -'s ~ cork could've be better quality
eg +'s ~ beautiful quality (i opted for the black series)
eg -'s ~ a little more expensive and it was a little harder for me get

oh almost forgot, the wrap doesn't go all the way to the tip on the bd x7 like most x7 rods, just up to where stinger portion starts

its a solid reel, my only concern is that the braking for me tends to be a bit inconsistent (noticed the brake shoe(s) will tend stick as it nears the off position, could just be my reel that has this issue), i have a met100 that i havent used yet and hope it doesn't behave the same
