Re: Fuji limited remake of Ruby guides

With EDC pocket tops you can sometimes pick the contact point of your top for increase spin times. Stainless steel is the "base model" contact point. SiC is the upgrade. And ruby is the premium contact point. Ruby is very low friction. Any idea what their synthetic ruby is made of? My understanding...

Re: Can someone school me on JDM Daiwa spinning reels?

If you like the frame size of a 2500 series but want less line then either look for a 2506 spool or reel. Line capacity is closer to a 2000 series vs a 2500 series

Fuji limited remake of Ruby guides

If you want something different and limited seems Fuji is remaking the Ruby guides for 2017.

Re: Tabula CT SV TWS

It would be nice if the spools would direct replace but I don't think Daiwa would publish 2 different sizes for the spools (34 for CT and 33 for SV) unless there is a significant difference (Daiwa Steez Finesse 10lb line is roughly 1/4 of a mm).

Re: Tabula CT SV TWS

I'm sure it will but my concern is that it leaves a small gap for line and trash to get into.

Re: Tabula CT SV TWS

So Gary have you been able to drop the new tatula sv spool into the current CT tatula. The CT has a 34mm diameter spool and the SV has a 33mm diameter spool (per Daiwa). On another thread someone mentioned putting the SV spool in a CT 50th anniversary when Daiwa had visited with its new products. T...

Re: Alternate spool for Tatula CT type-r 50th anniversary

The Tatula spool is a full shaft spool. It is not a free floating spool design like most Daiwa reels. That being said, as of now, aside from the DIY spool, there are no other aftermarket spools designed for that reel. The only options from Daiwa are the Tatula CT, and Tatula CT Type R, which the 50...

Re: Tabula CT SV TWS

I want SV Spools for all my tatulas now The new spools are 33mm vs the original Tat's spool that was 34mm. Plus being a CT reel it is narrower (if I am not mistaken) by 3mm compared to the original Tatula. Ultra duralumin spool Super lightweight and highly accurate tatura SV TW original φ 33 mm. By...

http://www.daiwa.com/jp/fishing/item/reel/bait_rl/steez_a_tw_17/index.html Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see any mention of the gear material. Perhaps it will come equipped with brass gears [-o< Based on what TZ Lure says the gears are Aluminum and G1 alloy. https://translate.googleusercontent.co...
