Re: 2017 Shimano (Bassmaster Classic releases)
The muskie forums are saying that the curado 300 will be getting an update with 2 speeds offered. 5.8:1 and 7.6:1 http://muskie.outdoorsfirst.com/board/forums/get-attachment.asp?action=view&attachmentid=121241 http://muskie.outdoorsfirst.com/board/forums/get-attachment.asp?action=view&attachmentid=1...

Re: Talk me out of it
I currently fish an envy 7'6" with a concept reel for pike and as my frog rod. I assume the pitch perfect is lighter but I'm not sure. I would love to try the reels on the rod but I'm currently enjoying a short vacation at club bagram through January.... So I am fishing for information. Someone had ...

Re: Talk me out of it
Good info Bronzefly. I all ready had you ship me one zillion sv tw, and I still need to put in my order for my megabass launcher. I was curious about the sv103, I was just slightly worried that coming from such a light reel like the concepts that the sv103 would feel like a rock. I know this is all ...

Talk me out of it
Is the Steez sv tw THAT much better then the Zillion sv tw? Im looking for a reel to match to a orochi xx perfect pitch. It will be used mostly for jigs and creatures up to 1/2 oz in heavy cover and occasionally some frogs. I currently run a fleet of all concept C reels but I need a fast speed reel ...

Re: Saltwater Lipless Twitch Baits for Bass?
Ive used the mirrodine (17mr) and the catch 2000 for bass several times. They work great over grass beds in 5 foot of water, just like using them for speckled trout. there are two sizes of mirrodine and I like the xl for early season pike. I have always had better luck with sharp twitches like using...

Re: Muskie Umbrella Rig
Most of the guides on Kinkaid seem to gravitate to some type of white spinner or a jerkbait. I have seen people throwing rubber but never a guide that I know of. My best bait this season was a DD22 in psycho shad while chasing schools of spotted bass. I couldnt keep the Muskie off of it at times lol

Re: Muskie Umbrella Rig
I dont see a lot of people throwing black on my lake. Mostly white and bright. Fairly clear water.

Re: Muskie Umbrella Rig
what size blades are those? Do you ever make smaller ones? Like under 2oz? I love the blades on the black one, those would be awesome on a shad colored spinnerbait for my lake in southern Illinois.

If you want a tight wobble I really like flicker shads. Catch a lot of crappie also.

Re: Any feedback on abu garcia revo beast reel?
my mistake, I read it as toro for some reason. I do use my toro for 1-3 oz lures though I actually use a concept c for my pike baits 1-2 ozs

The muskie boards are raving over it. But I also believe that most reccomend the toro s for the money. check out the muskie.outdoorsfirst forums for lots of talk on these reels.

Re: BASS lifts 8' for rule
I have several telescoping rods that when broke down are 7'6" but 9+ feet when extended. I would love to have some bass tapers though, mainly for throwing lighter baits but also the weight of the rod. When throwing 1lb lures the rods have to be heavy but when under 2 oz I would like something easier...

Re: BASS lifts 8' for rule
Hopefully we see some of the rods like in muskie fishing move over to bass fishing but with lighter tapers. I would love a MH 10 foot rod for crankbaits. I currently use a muskie MH telescoping rod for muskie sized cranks but really once you get near 1.5 oz or lower it starts to be over powered. I a...

Re: Fish Finder
I run a 899 in the rear and a 859 up front. My father runs Lowrance, I tend to like the picture and some of the options on the lowrance but the interface to me on the Humminbirds is better. They are all good units IMO, BUT........ Get the biggest screen you can afford.
