cracked cranks

Hey all, just seeing what people do with their broken/damaged cranks. I have busted the lips off of a bunch of baits, I can only make so many key-chains, haha. recently found a hairline crack in one of my baits contemplating whether I should super glue it, or retire it to my pile of busted cranks.

Re: Loomis DSR822C

+1 for small topwaters, throw a tiny torpedo with mine on occasion.
I like to use mine for split shotting straight tail worms/reapers/ tiny brush hawgs. Sometimes I fly line the baits if fishing really shallow. The rod works ok for lighter shakey heads in a pinch too.

Re: Nutech Nujig?

heres someones prelimenary comparison of the two: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KSCH_QcFkI. I bought a few of these jigs but have yet to try them out. I saw on their youtube channel, that Don Iovino was interested in the heads and was going to use their jig heads with his hand tied skirts, which l...

Re: Something Wrong With my Abu C3

That should fix the issue. For re install, I will soak a q-tip with lube of choice and run it inside the pinion gear so the spool shaft has some lube, and lightly grease the pinion teeth, and try to keep the spool pin area as free from grease and lube as possible. If you are going to replace the pin...

Re: Something Wrong With my Abu C3

I have been told that this normally happens with old abu's. heck I sent one in for service because of that problem once, and they just sent me a new reel, but they charged me for it, -.-"""". had the issue come up again on an older shimano. Long story short, the pinon gear is most likely more rounde...

Re: Daiwa pitching and casting: from a shimano user

http://japantackle.com/Topics/brake_system.htm pretty sure it has been posted before, but an interesting read on reel brake systems. I use both Shimanos and Daiwa reels, For me there was a learning curve adjusting from centrifugal to mag brakes. I get about the same distance with both, Shimano set a...

looking for a Deps bullshooter

Hey all was wondering if anyone knew how to source a deps bullshooter. as seen here http://www.depsweb.co.jp/dpm/pc/item2011/bullshooter/bullshooter.html Buddy of mine wants one pretty bad. I might cop one too if the price is right, but these baits are very elusive, so im guessing its going to be $$...

Re: Black Max 1600 information?

not 100% sure, but I just picked up some promax 3600s, to my understanding they are the same as black maxes with more bearings, and a crappier finish, the 3600 topped the spool off with 120 yards of 12 lb big game, since the 3600 is wider I would imagine its a safe bet to guess that the 1600s hold a...

Daiwa Fuego help

I have a left hand daiwa fuego, with a non handle side plate that is not engaging into the frame. I figured it might be the gray magnet retainer in the non handle side which might need some tweaking. However once I removed the bearing and felt spacer there is a metal or plastic cup that is blocking ...
