Re: Gloomis rod above NRX????!!!!!

I guess this is a big news for "average Joe", but Spiral X already been implemented in Poison Adrena rods, Spiral X / Hi-Power X in Poison Glorious line up almost two years ago. Torzite guides - cool feature for sure. Hopefully G. Loomis update current NRX line up with new full cork handles, and To...

Re: Help me decide for a finesse baitcaster

People sleep on Lews but if the Team Pro has the same spool as the Team Lite then im not surprised. They have really lightweight spools and great braking systems for long casts. I would gave these Lew's reels a chance, but they are not available in Germany and after importing by myself more expensi...

Re: Help me decide for a finesse baitcaster

I had the chance to play a bit around with a SV105 while fishing on Saturday, I compared the reel against my Lew's Team Pro Speed Spool. Long story short. I was very disappointed in the Daiwa. Not only could I throw a light Ned rig (1/8) faster with the Lew's it was also much more effortless. Also ...

Re: Help me decide for a finesse baitcaster

Aldebaran vs scorpion bfs For baits lighter than 1/4oz I would take the Scorpion BFS, because the Aldebaran spool is relatively heavy (round about 16g like the spool of the Curado 71) and the spool capacity is the same as the spool capacity of the Curado. But the performance of the Scorpion BFS is ...

Re: Help me decide for a finesse baitcaster

I'd go Scorpion BFS: http://japantackle.com/casting-reels/shimano/reg0000214.html I don't like using Mg reels in Salt even if the manufacturer says it's ok. Having both reels the Aldebaran is a step above in the smoothness department. Comparing against the Scorpion or the Alpha SV? Aldebaran vs sco...

Once you go Aldebaran, you cant go back lol.. mount it on a sub 4 oz rod it gets hard to go back to a heavier combo. Cast light lures really well too.

Re: First Look Inside the New Shimano Curado K Series Baitcasters

Does the thumb bar now sit a little lower? I liked my Chronarch CI4, but would occasionally trigger the thumb bar as I was jigging. In these pictures, it looks like the thumb bar is much more compact and in line with the frame of the reel, something that should prevent these misfires for me. Pic on...

Re: Shimano Bearings?

I think the high quality anti rust bearings have a dark grey color, and the lower end ss bearings look the normal silver. I Saw a video where this dude loses 10 ft on a Met 13 by switching out the stock bearings to Orange seal ceramics. Hope that's not the case with the HHs

Re: Zona goes to the big D

Honestly, Shimano/G. Loomis probably got tired of him fanboying over Brent Ehler and Seth Feider. Now everyone's happy  I saw one of his live streams with KVD, I swear he was trying to kiss Van Dam in the mouth  Honestly I didnt even know he was sponsored by anyone until last year, I alwa...
