Re: New Presso BC rod
I missed it the first time and it's not cheap 48,000 plus shipping -may be too much cash for me considering the few times i would use it each year. By far it's the best looking rod daiwa has made. Not wishing "bad" on anyone or country but hope the dollar remains or increases its strength against t...

Auction site horror story here: IMG_20151231_36912.jpg Picked up a blue emblem spool and it had arrived as described. I left the box on my dinning room table while I went to work. Apparently, it was promptly thrown out by my GF. She said it felt empty and thought it was trash.......didn't know if I...

Re: How do you use blade baits ?
I fish blades during ice-out, or anytime I need to get to a deep school of fish in 20+ft of water. Fish them like a lead spoon sometimes. I feel them down to the bottom, when the bait reaches bottom it's "zip zip zip, pause it in the water column, zip zip repeat. (1/2oz is good to about 20ft) 3/4oz...

Re: Using Loops on Jerkbaits -- when necessary??
Loop knot for direct tie to balsas for me and I have never broken one on the loop itself. Admit I was surprised to see so many doing it differently. Has me thinking, but I doubt I will change anything at this point.

Re: Problems with HDS 5 reading bottom
Do you have another cable that you can use to connect the HDS-5 to the xducer? that cable cant be removed from the transducer like it can from the unit itself. Most likely it's the cable which means you need a new transducer. Could also try spraying on some CRC Contact cleaner to the female end of ...

Just looked them up, not a bad price on the auction. It comes with a cool looking box that wouldnt look bad under the glass either.Redfish wrote:The Serrano was a decent reel. I had a couple and used them in salt exclusively and they held up fairly well.soulfisher wrote:I am kinda liking that reel.

I just had a reel stuck coming out of ontario for 12 days. total shipment took 17 days to florida. Lately I have had several items make it from japan in 2 and 3 days max.
