G Loomis Rod weights
Bantam
I am looking for the weights of the CBR845 and the SBR812C rods. I am sure it was listed in previous catologues but the 2012 one on the Shimano site does not seem to list them.
Thanx

Calais 100A vs 200A
I am looking at buying a reel to use with DT10 size crankbaits on a G Loomis CBR845. Was thinking of getting a Calais 100A or a 200A. I thought that there was only a size and gear ratio difference between the two reels. But when I did some research i noticed the 100A has the following features which...

Re: Shimano Sustain 2500FE or Stradic 2500CI4?
I have both. The Sustain is definatly the smoother real and comes with an extra spool. Stradic is lighter and looks cool
For the same price I would take the Sustain

Here is the address I used when I corresponded with Chuck just after he posted his site for sale. I do not know if it still exists. Give it a try.

Spare VBS brakes
I recieved two different colours of spare VBS brakes with my Curado and Chronarch reels. Please tell me when these should be used. Do the different colours signify something?

Re: crankbait website
Yes it was an awesome site for crankbait fanatics. Chuck Bailey the owner and author of most the articles posted that the site was up for sale and for a while the site was still active but not updated. Evidently no one took him up on the offer as now it has shut down. Great shame!

Re: Trokar treble hooks
I change all my crank bait hooks out with the KVD Elite triple grips. Before these came out I used the standard short shank triple grips but found that although the hook up ratio is excellent they are a bit weak. The KVD triple grips solved that problem.

CBR 845 suitable for 1/4 oz cranks??
I am about to purchase my first G Loomis. As I love crankbaits I am looking at the CBR845 rated for 3/8 to 1 oz lures. Most of the cranks I throw are in the upper part of this weight range. However I throw Bandits occasionally and these are 1/4oz. Will I be able to get a decent cast with a Bandit? I...

Re: DT 14-20's
I change out all the hooks on my crankbaits with KVD elite triple grips. I normally purchase the standard series DT's as I cannot see the sense in paying extra just to get a sureset hook. I do not think a smallmouth will have any problem with a sureset hook but I do find that they tend to snag cover...

Sufix Deep Crankin line
Anyone been using this line? How would you rate this line for crankbaits? Better than flourocarbon? Abrasion resistance?
