Re: G Loomis NRX 802c
Yea I was debating going custom vs the 802. Decided the 802 would work and was ready to order one when I got home from work. Inventory prior to leaving work showed 3+ but 2 hours later it was sold out. ](*,) This almost happened to me too when I was trying to buy the 803C. There were 3+, and in the...

Re: Dobyns DX vs G. Loomis NRX vs Kistler KLX
I wouldn't disgrace my nrx with a heavy azz Tatula  , aldebaran all the way. I don't have the 803, but i have my 15 aldebaran on nrx 852c and it feels great. I imagine it'll feel just as good on the 803 Haha I will try the Aldebaran first. For some reason, I really like the Tatula reel even th...

Your setup looks awesome, and even the line color matches with the rod. May I ask what line you are using?DavidSA wrote:Alde would be on my 803 if I had one, no questions asked. Mine has the MetHG on it.

Re: Dobyns DX vs G. Loomis NRX vs Kistler KLX
Thanks again to everyone who helped me decide on the NRX! Now, while I wait for the rod to arrive, I'm debating what reel to put on it. I have a Shimano Aldebaran 51HG, Daiwa Tatula Type R 8.1:1 gear ratio, 13 Fishing Concept C 6.6:1 gear ratio, and Lew's Pro Tournament G 6.8:1 gear ratio. For mainl...

Re: 13 fishing concept reels, whos fishing them?
I've used both Concept A and C. Personally, I liked how the A looked like, but it's very susceptible to scratches, marks, and rashes. I was very impressed with their drag system and smoothness. I never had any issues with casting distance or backlashes. I just wish it had more line capacity. I hones...

Re: Dobyns DX vs G. Loomis NRX vs Kistler KLX
Thank you for all the help! I bought the 803C when I saw there were 2 left. The cheapest NRX I've seen were over $300 even though they were used , so after all the positive feedback and low price considering it's new, I decided to buy one. This will prob be my last purchase for a while lol

if your thinking NRX, let me know what you plan to fish on it and I will give you my point of view. Had my 803NRX a long time. maybe my add to your question is I think the dobyns and kistler better looking rods but I've already disclosed what I own ;) Thanks for the input so far. I'm planning on us...

Dobyns DX vs G. Loomis NRX vs Kistler KLX
Hey everyone, I'm about to purchase my first high end casting rod over $200. I was just wondering what you guys think about these rods. I'm thinking about the Dobyns DX 703C, NRX 803C JWR, and Kistler KLX 6'9". I'll be using this rod for jigs and t-rigs, so bottom contact fishing. Sensitivity is the...

Re: best topwater frogs
Hi,
I have used the Jackall Iobee frog, and I agree with all of you that it's really easy to walk it. However, whenever I use it on top of weeds, the hooks always get stuck on them or bring all that vegetation. Does this happen to you guys or is it just me?
Thanks.

Re: what's everyone's most productive lure?
In the Boston Area, I've had great success using the T-rigged Rage Tail Crawfish. I started using jigs 2 weeks ago, and I love it! I caught bunch of bass, one of them being between 5-6lbs. During the summer, the Live Target frog in black and yellow worked really well as well. However, when I don't g...

Re: Your top 3 soft plastics
I started bass fishing this year, but so far the Rage Tail Crawfish worked the best for me. I would consider the Menace second (caught bass and trouts with it), and the GY Senkos third. I'm still trying to build my confidence with worm plastics.
