Re: Some New GLXs, and a few reels
I've got 7 Chronarch D's and I wouldn't trade them for anything! Nice "tools" you got there.

Re: Chronarch D vs Curado I
I've got 7 Chronarch D models and have 2 Curado I models that I just got in march. I've tried nearly every shimano reel out there except the DC models over the last 10 years. The chronarch D has been my favorite and I wouldn't sell them for $400 each. Mine are used a lot, well taken care of and get ...

Re: Curado I - WOW!
Any further reviews on this reel? I have 2 now and I really like them. I've fished them very little so I don't want to comment til I get a good feel for them. So far I'm impressed!

GLX 894 JWR
So I just got this rod about 2 months ago assuming it would be similar to my 854 NRX, but a little longer. It feels soft for a 4 power rod. It honestly feels (power wise) like my 893 JWR....Anyone else feel this way? I wonder if I need to get an 895 instead??

Re: NRX hype - love and hate ?'s
I've got 3 right now. Plan to add more. I love them to death. I have not had any issues with them at all. I have seen a buddy have reel seat issues, but his were taken care of quickly. I have yet to see or hear of an NRX blank break....Guides are fine from what I've seen.

Re: Family Photo #2
I had a brand new Zillion 2 years ago. It was a nice reel, but for some reason, I didn't really care for it. It was my only non-shimano...it got replaced with a D7, which I like way, way, way better.belippy wrote:just curious, have you ever used Daiwa' reels?

Re: New to me rig
Very nice =D> . Gambler with a ProMax, hotrod heaven right there. Do you plan on doing any upgrades to the engine? It's got 100+mph boat written all over it. Pretty sweet boat! Congrats on the new ride! They say them Pro Max engines are aweful reliable... That boat will haul the mail nicley, but it...

Re: Summer Bassin'
Nice fish! I too have both the GLX and NRX 893. Both of mine have Chronarch D7's on them. I love them both, but I personally don't notice a difference in hook sets. They are both very, very sensitive. Care to elaborate on your comparison?

Re: Where are the shimanos?
Nothing fancy at all hear. Just work horses....Chronarch D7's with a Calais 100 and Chronarch 50 MG mixed in.... http://i47.tinypic.com/20p8vb7.jpg I couldn't help but notice the popper on the Mg combo. I have a Mg on my 1/4oz popper combo, and I couldn't be happier. :D Nice gear btw. 8-) Thanks, y...
