With all the shallow spool options on many different reels, it's tough to make a standalone finesse reel.
I don't think anything would replace an actual pixy.

With aluminum gears, the HG may be a safer route for longevity.

Never had the engine plate screws strip. Seems more likely poor maintenance from someone tinkering with their reels and then passing to someone else. Spot on... tightening these ting threaded screws well past the original design parameters. Once stripped... New frame or bigger modified screws. LMAO...
