Re: Metanium worth the extra cost?
Thanks everyone, I’m pretty set on grabbing a met mgl to try for myself and compare first hand the chronarch mgl and the met mgl. I believe I’ll throw it on my glx 894c. I’m also in the market for an nrx or glx 893 which I might pair it with the met and leave the 894 with the chronarch to test.
Re: frog reel
I’ve got both the tatula sv and curado K and I’d pick the curado for a frogging reel personally!

Re: Metanium worth the extra cost?
I would get a Bantam MGL for the 894 and an Aldebaran MGL for the 842. Both of these reels should balance those rods perfectly and fish better than the Met. Why do you say they would fish better then a met? I’ve heard really mixed reviews on the aldebaran h50/51 and nothing on the mgl version so I ...

Re: What are You PUNCHING with?
13 fishing envy black 7’6” with a curado K! Wicked set up. My only 13 rod and it’s awesome! Super sensitive and loads of power! Doesn’t get much use cause I throw a lot on my glx 894c. Thinking of just leaving a t-rigged creature on there this year and the fox as my jig rod

Re: Metanium worth the extra cost?
Would the metanium mgl make a better finesse reel for my glx 852c to throw weightless senko’s, finesse jigs, shakey head and such. Or would it make a better jig reel for throwing 3/8oz-1/2oz jigs with trailers on my glx 894c? Both. I use my Met 13 for lighter stuff and my Met MGL for 3/8 and up, bu...

Metanium worth the extra cost?
I picked up a couple rods and have yet to purchase reels dedicated for them. I grabbed a glx 894 and a glx 852. I paired them with chronarch mgl’s which I love these reels and was going pick up 2 more to throw on the rods I took these reels off (just couldn’t wait to get the reels as I wanted to fis...

Re: best topwater frogs
Been killing it on the Jackall frogs this year. Little smaller, fish seem to inhale it a bit easier. Hooks are crazy sharp and body is super super soft. Hook up ratio had gone way up after using them

Re: Glx 852c help
I use the Metanium MGL with the NRX 852c for shakeyhead, 1/4oz tube jigs and lighter, I also have the Metanium 13 with a GLX 842c (Metanium 13 looks like its made for the GLX) I use it for spybaits and jerbaits. both are super sensative.. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4254/35402985730_0a1451fe3c_c...

Re: Nrx or glx
Thanks gentleman! Got myself a glx 894c and a glx 852c paired both with chronarch mgl’s! Love these rods, took them out this afternoon and there very light, crazy sensitive just awesome rods! That little 852c is going be deadly! Loads of power for such a small light little rod! Got a good 3lber on a...

Re: Nrx or glx
Thabks everyone! I’m picking up the 894c tomorrow after work, and Saturday I’m going try to pop by all the local stores to get my hands on the 853c, and 893c and hopefully the 852c. I want the 893 because no matter where I look everyone speaks so highly of it but I feel like it might be a touch long...

Re: Nrx or glx
No. I’m fishing 1/4 and 5/16oz total weight rigs on 12#fc or 30# braid. If I drop any lower I go to spinning gear Thank you. I am hoping to get 2 new set ups by 2 weekends from now as I have a weekend fishing trip. Most likely won’t be nrx’s as I have a line on glx’s for a good price. First one is ...

Re: Nrx or glx
You don’t feel the 893 is over power for the shaky head?
