Re: Diawa zillion rods? Crankbait rods?

Picked it up this morning and it’s an excellent looking rod, fantastic feeling rod but it feels way more like a fast then moderate fast or moderate. It hits the back bone of the rod real quick. He brother a heavy fast and 2 medium heavy fast and then the medium heavy regular which is there cranking...

Re: Dobyns 705cb or loomis imx pro 845cbr

Thank you everyone. I’m not much on crankbait fishing myself but over the last 2 years or so I’ve gotten a little more into it and I fish a lot with the old man who likes crankbait fishing. Like mentioned I only throw medium depth at best, squarebill and some lipless. I currently have a loomis e6x s...

Dobyns 705cb or loomis imx pro 845cbr

As title says, looking at these 2 7’ crankbait Rods. I don’t do a ton of cranking but looking to get a dedicated rod as last year I lost a bunch. Will be throwing lipless rattle traps, shallow diving, generally 9’ and less, squarebill. And hoping to double down this rod for some top water minus frog...

Re: Shimano Chronarch mgl vs diawa zillion sv vs 13 fishing concept c

I don’t know why but the concept C just has my attention every time I go into the local store but I guess I’ll try to keep away from it lol I’ll probsbly try the zillion this time around and maybe swap out my tatula on to a crankbait rod I’m debating on grabbing and then try the Chronarch on the dob...

Re: Shimano Chronarch mgl vs diawa zillion sv vs 13 fishing concept c

Hahaha it’s sometimes too hard to make the decision. I did the same thing earlier this year between the Curado and the tatula and ended up with both. Well I have been debating on grabbing a crankbait rod as well so maybe I could try both. Any thoughts on the concept C though? the 13 is not in the s...

Shimano Chronarch mgl vs diawa zillion sv vs 13 fishing concept c

Looking at getting one of these reels in a 7.3 range. Love the look and feel of the concept c but hard to turn away from 2 tried and true performers. What’s your thoughts?

Will be sitting on a 7’ medium heavy fast action Kistler helium LTA rated for 1/8oz-3/4oz lures

Re: Why no love for the E6X?

I guess I’ll have to try a higher end loomis cause from what I’ve seen I seem to really like the e6x. The sensitivity seems awesome. I have a few rods to try out this season

Why no love for the E6X?

I’ve read a few times on here, and it seems that’s most people stray others away from the loomis e6x. I picked up a few spinning rods last season, st. Croix avid X and a G Loomis e6x and I love both. But after hearing what some people have said about these rods I’m confused as I feel like it is a we...

Re: Tat SV TW or Curado K?

I just bought one of each and haven’t had a chance to try them on water yet but playing around the house with them I’ll tell you the tatula sv is definitely more user friendly, easier set up and smooth! The Curado seems to cast further but a little more finicky! Both seem awesome and can’t wait to t...

What would you use each rod for?

Stumbled across a good deal and have 2 rods but not sure what line to throw on them and what to use them for exactly. Have a dobyns 734 and a 7’ helium lta Medium Heavy Fast Action. Was planning on using the 734 for my jig rog, but then purchased the helium and I don’t know what I want to use either...

Re: Opportunity for a Kistler Helium lta?

I had the 7' Heavy from the same era as yours and it was a very nice rod. I sold it because the grip was so fat that my hand didn't sit right. At the time, I wasnt sure if that rubberized cork could be turned down to be thinner.....I wish I had kept it. That’s too bad, I have a bit of a bigger mitt...

Re: Opportunity for a Kistler Helium lta?

Picked up the Kistler today! Looks to be in perfect shape, almost unused (which is what he had mentioned). Increadibly light, good back bone. Very excited to try this rod out. Like mentioned for 75 dollars probably not to many new rods I’d be able to get to even come close to this. Thanks everyone.
