I contacted Smoothdrag to find out what Carbontex drag washers fit the Casitas.
It's the same as the Curado CU200DHSV or 200I...$8.50 for the set.

Re: Add bearings to curado 70
Could these upgrades be done to the new Casitas? Been thinking of getting a few of those for my son. You can replace all four knob bushings with bearings...I'm not sure about the levelwind bushing. edit...you can replace the worm gear bushing with a bearing (same size as the knobs)...bringing the t...

Re: Add bearings to curado 70
I get a 10 pack of Boca's from the auction site for $11.89 shipped right from Bobcabearingcompany. For things like knobs they're great. I've never had an issue. Super smooth and quiet. I've had cheaper bearings in knobs than made noise when I'd flick the knob to spin it...not these. Go to their stor...

Re: Best Rod For Crankbait Trolling?
A useful fore grip in a 7'-7'3" bass rod under $200 is a hard find. Depending what you choose, you could always add a fore grip...take some foam pipe insulation and wrap a Winn wrap over it or use some http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Accu_Cull_Grip_Saver/descpage-ACGSV.html . This works good over cor...

Re: 2016 stradic ci4+
Awesome, I was about to drop a post asking about the "C" notation on the japan FK So for ex, the C2000hgs is a 1000 body with 2500 shallow spool and rotor? I noticed the handle length and weight difference as well. Thanks! Close...A C2000HGS is a high gear/shallow spool with a 1000 body and a 2000 ...

Re: 2016 stradic ci4+
Can someone explain the "C" compact sizing for me? It says a C3000 is a 2500 frame with the 3000 spool. Wasn't that always the case anyhow? The 3000 was always the 2500 frame with a bigger spool right? I am understanding that the difference is the "S" which designates shallow spool vs the normal de...

Re: Those plastic things that spools come in.
I don't know about original containers but you could use 1oz coin tubes. These come in many lengths and diameters. Here's one site...the auction sites have them too.

Re: St Croix elite warranty only 15yr?
Here's the St. Croix warranty page...at the bottom it lists your rod among others having a 15 year warranty. The Lifetime Assurance is the Silver or Gold Star Service Plan that lets you send your broken rod in for a replacement for $55, $85 or $120 depending on the model (your new Elite with Torzite...

Re: When will digitaka/ Japan lure shop have scorpions??
Hmm just noticed they only have regular and hg, not xg- I wonder if that is only for the curado 70. Seems like I saw the scorpion offered in xg in some early speculation- but it also said micro module so just trying to figure out what actually made it to market. Japan Tackle has a Scorpion XG liste...

Re: Shimano Stradic ci4+ handle play????
I checked mine and don't have any play to speak of. The ticking sound I've had before. Infact I just bought one of the new Stradics from Japan that did it pretty bad. Returning it wasn't feasible so I tore into it. Turns out it was the bail trip bar that closes the bail when you turn the reel handle...

Re: New Curado 70
I see the Scorpion 70 listed as 7+1 bearings (SARB) while Curado 70 listed as 5+1 (BB??) Besides this (potential) difference...anything different between the two reels? I was under the impression that they're the same reel just JDM/USDM...if the bearing count is true, I was mistaken! The two extra ...
