Re: Looking for a new jerkbait rod
In that price rang, I would look to find a used, or on sale St. Croix avid 6’6 mf or 6’8mxf. Both great jerkbait Rods in my experience with lifetime warranties.

Re: Rod for submerged grass
Thanks so much for the positive responses. Might have to seriously consider the Vadivia, sounds exactly what I’m looking for. I'm confident that it is. Email me at thetackletrap@gmail.com if you'd like any more information, glad to help out. It's such a great rod I'm excited for you to give it a sh...

Re: MegabassOrochi Diablo Uses
Like stated, it would overpower 1.5 size cranks. If I was targeting cover with cranks I would choose the spinnerbait special over the diablo.bronzebacks wrote:Will the dsr work for squarebills around cover or is it too stiff?

Re: Orchi xx flipping special
I just picked one up late spring. Only got out once with it but I did try throwing an ARIG with it and it supprising did well loading up, casting it around. Didn’t catch any fish on it but felt good at least!

Re: Rod for submerged grass
Been using a Dobyns DX 745 for years for techniques like what you describe. It just flat out works so I haven't ever looks any further. If 1oz isn't fished a lot, I would maybe consider dropping to the 744 but it really is personal preference at that point. If I were to look at the new Megabass off...

Re: Curado K gears
Best upgrade going for the 13 Met. Transformed mine to the point where its smoothness matches the Conquest 100HG. Why do reel companies persist with alloy gears? The weight saving is peanuts in my book. Agreed, mine has a HH swept carbon handle, HH air beaings and yumeya shallow spool, this was the...
