Lost clicking spring on drag star on Scorpion 1000
I lost the spring that clicks on the Scorpion 1000 (w/ 4x4 braking system) during routine maintenance. Are there any parts from US Shimano reels that are compatible that I can purchase from Shimano USA?
Thanks,

For its footprint, they pack a lot of power and feel very smooth under load. If you're going to be fishing in some very nasty stuff, this is the reel.

Re: Lexa 100 and Lexa Spinning
I've been dormant for a while. I just wanted to out of my cave to say IT'S ABOUT DANG TIME DAIWA!
I don't mind the little extra weight over the Curado for a little more metal.
Anyone know what type of Magforce it will have? TW description just says Magforce.

Re: Wal-mart steps up in rod market
My local Wal-Mart carries B&M Bucks Crappie rods. I picked up a couple on sale.
Not bad pricing on the Trokar hooks. Do anyone know if the Trokars offered at WalMart is the same (sharpness and material wise) as the $10 per pack ones at other places?

Blank for 9-10ft custom 2pc crappie rod?
Hi fellow TT members. Long time since I put out a long post. The crappie bite bit me all last year. I'm hooked. Most of the crappie rods that are sold are in the $50-70 and use basic guide and reel seat materials. For the intended purpose of catching crappie, it does the job well. I am using a Bass ...

Re: Zillion Rods
I have a 7MH Zillion rod on a Zillion CC reel. I use it to throw Deps Basirisky frog over the summer. I prefer the super fast tip of the Zillion because I can get a good hookset on even when line is out very far. I never had a problem controlling fish. It is also a good pitchin rod. It handles pitch...

Re: Rod of the Year 2011
BPS Crappie Maxx model:CXS10-2 for me this year. Did not bass fish much.
If yall think rods over 7ft are long, wait til you handle a 9-14ft rod.

I live on a 240 acre private lake subdivision so launching is three blocks away. Access to the lake by foot is just down the cul-de-sac.
Launch at Truman Lake (MO) is 1hr away.
Not the best vehicle or boat, but it still works.

Re: Chronarch D7
man, why did shimano change the from chronarch D's? :crying: :crying: Just a wild guess, but probably cannibalization of the Core or rising manufacturing cost. The new Chronarch at $199 is the dumbest move I've seen from Shimano. If they're going to pull a fast one, at least give it a metal drag st...

Re: Chronarch D7
If you open the side hatch cover, there's a peg that goes into a slot on the frame to align the hatch cover. There's a rubber O-ring on that peg that serves as a buffer. Well, if you palm grip your reel and put a little too much pressure on the side hatch cover, it will shift a little bit becuase t...
