When I bought these i took the line straight from my non mgl alds and maybe had 15-20 ft left over. They are basically identical.
Thats speaking of the ald 30mgl from japan. The casting performance is noticeably better.

Re: TRANX 300 HG Handle Play
The anti reverse sleeve has two ears on it that fit into the main drag plate. If you turned the reel a bit with the handle off the sleeve could have slid out. Take the handle off, drag star off and the () washers off, take the bearing out(if it has one, haven't been in that model), hold the spool fr...

I can’t wait. Just .2 oz heavier than current curado k.
Should be a great reel.

Re: Anyone tricked out a Curado K
You can add two bearings per knob and a bearing to the worm gear and it makes for a super reel for the money. Other than that I haven't added anything.

Re: Aldebaran 50 mgl to the US, xg model maybe?
I have picked up two ald 30's and spooled the line off my 50's directly on them and the held all but 5 yards. I was worried about capacity but they are nearly identical. That's with 6/20 power pro braid. They cast amazing!!

Re: New Ald 30mgl
Had a few days off, been putting it to the test. These things cast amazing. I have been jerk bait fishing in some pretty steady strong wind.
These cast at least 25% better than the last version.
Now if the fish would turn on in my part of the world

The knobs on the bantam are the same as the chronarch mgl- the curado K knobs are larger.

Re: New Ald 30mgl
I use three of them usually for lighter stuff.
I use one on an nrx 802 6/20 power pro for jerkbaits
another on an nrx 842 with 2/10 power pro for anything finesse
another on an nrx 852 with 6/20 power pro for light shaky head 3/16 and some 1/4

New Ald 30mgl
Picked up a new mgl 30 from japan. I was worried about line capacity being down. To my surprise I took the line directly off of one of my fully spooled 50's and it held all but about 5 yards of it??? Have my second on the way. These seem a bit smoother, not sure if they have changed the gearing. The...

Re: E6X MBR903c
It is one of my favorites. I have considered picking it up in a conquest. I use it for 1/2 -3/4 swimbaits. It loads up and casts great. I have considered adding a couple of inches to the rear grip.

Re: Bantam MGL Who has their hands on one?
Ok, two days on the water.. It feels very similar, almost identical to the conquest in smoothness during retrieve. (keep in mind I added three bearings to it) I have the HG which comes with the 84mm handle. I came home and ordered the 90mm from a curado k (same handle) Casts great, didn't try any sm...

Re: Loomis Noob, looking for GLX help
Id consider these 843 853 844 I'd recommend feeling of them first tho, I feel like the reel seat is a bit farther forward on the glx making it fish an inch or so shorter than they actually are. Also I think the power rating is a bit heavier than they are. For ex a med hvy may be a bit lighter than o...

Re: New Loomis GLX rods creak when you shake them?
Yes, this is normal when they are fresh. I had one a few years back, sent it back, they sent me another and it did the same thing. I called and they said that when they are fresh they will do this and with use they will stop. Fish them and it will go away. They sad it was where the epoxy for the eye...

Re: Aldebaran MGL
Japan sites are only listing it as standard and hg. It looks like it only lost about 10 yards of line capacity. I'll prob sell one of my ald's soon and pick one up to try.
