Re: 2024 Metanium DC
I'm always confused when people say that a reel isn't holding enough line. I get it with big line and big bait but what is being used for 3/8-1/2oz that you all are able to unspool the entire reel? I feel like I'm doing something wrong because I'm never even close. TEACH ME!!! I have a Daiwa ...
Re: New GLX
Surprised this wasn't brought up earlier when AMF started the sale--I'm curious to find out as well.
How are these GLX compared to more modern rods like the Megabass P5, Steez AGS, and the like? Are the GLX more comparable to the Expride and Tatula AGS?

Re: New Zillion Rods
Why would I spend $300 on this when i can get a JDM steez for that price? This thing is horrible aesthetically. I belive it is just a half assed attempt at capitilizing off the popularity of the zillion name. Having a valid warranty and getting some AGS actions and blank for $200 less than a Steez ...

Website I found it on has it removed now--but LBF has them up on their website--only showing the spinning model.

Re: Calcutta Conquest SE
https://i.postimg.cc/HWfmnbsh/20240201-102509.jpg Just got mine in. Super, super greasy. Had another angler I know play with the reel in hand and ask why it was so tight. I turned the handle and a click happened then the reel was smooth again. I hate to complain but it was odd. You have to barely t...

Re: Rapala DT Flat vs OG or any other Flat Sided Crankbait?
The Rapala Ott's Slim OG6 is a solid flat sided crankbait for cold water fishing. I was fishing it on the CA Delta and they were getting smoked while the Vision 110 got zero bites.
The only thing--do not slap this on the water! I broke mine into 3 pieces

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Noise
Yes, there is line on the spool, and the cast control cap is set so that there is no side to side play. If I tighten down the cast control knob, then it will make the sound a little deeper. If I put my thumb on the line and reel the noise is still present and sounds like it's coming from the pinion ...

Re: All new steez sv tw
I dunno about you guys--but I'd like to see 95mm handles become the norm. I know you can just order another handle, but at this price point it should come with a 95mm handle so you don't have to buy another part.

Re: New SHIMANO Scorpion 300 MD
I think instead of what's better--it comes down to what your preference is. The Tranx is a tank--it's like a Jeep. Will get the job done but it's going to be a bit louder and rougher, but it's tough. I don't own the Scorpion 200 MD, but from what I've seen in the videos, and on paper, it's going to ...

Re: Swimbait glide bait rod
From what I have read--the Loomis is like the standard rod that people use as a comparison. The real nerds are buying other brands like Leviathan, Low Down Customs, F5, or Megabass for the enthusiast.

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Noise
Just to update--I did get the gear set replaced. Replaced main gear, pinion gear, drag washers, and key washer. A lot of the rattling noise has gone away, but it is still pretty noisy. The only thing I can think of at this point is a worn yoke or AR bearing--but the reel is definitely tighter than i...

Re: Finding a cracked guide ring
I think something with fuzz on it like a microfiber towel that you cut a strip off of--or like a piece of wool that you pull thru a guide might help you find something as well.

Re: Finding a cracked guide ring
You could try applying some grease or acrylic paint or something to the guides to see if you can spot an area that didn't wipe off easily.
