Re: Need Advice on Daiwa Reel for Christmas present
IMO I don't think that the zillion tws is worth the amount of 300$ they are a little more solid feeling then my tatulas but performance wise just a tad bit better then the tatulas not worth the extra 200$. I have to agree that the alpha sv is the reel to go with I just used mine yesterday to throw 1...

Scorpion DC7 vs Exsence DC
I am going to buy one. Need help on which one. I will use it to skip docks with and possibly frog with. Does one throw lighter baits better then the other? which one has a more aggressive brake control?

Re: Alphas SV owners
I have that reel paired with a Poison Adrena 7'2" medium heavy. I have 8lb red label spooled on it and I use it to throw 1/4 ounce jigs and tubes for smallies on lake Michigan where I live. I must say that I love it.

Re: How many fishing combos do you need for Bass
What I do in this situation is carry a extra spool with me. It is better then carrying a extra rod that you might not use. I fish a good amount of tournaments a year form local club level the bfls and the bass opens mostly as a co angler. I do not bring my $$$ rods or reels with me in tournaments th...

Re: Levante vs Envy
The Levante series is supposed to be similar to the Orichi XX line of rods. I am not sure what the performance will be but I have read there will be only be a small drop off in feel over the Orichi XX models. I would expect the tapers to be similar though the Levante series features "pyrofill" so I...

Re: Levante vs Envy
Keep in mind that the Levante will be a little lighter in power than the 13 fishing rod. They are both rated as a medium heavy but definitely not the same power.

Are there others ways of getting the decals back on a reel besides having them printed out in vector form?

Re: Best $300ish baitcaster for skipping jigs around docks
Also keep in mind line size helps. The bigger the line the easier it is to skip. And braid also skips better then fluorocarbon.stingray23 wrote:How are you guys avoiding backlash? I'm always hesitant to skip with a baitcaster because of it.
