Re: Studio Composite rods
Used mine a bunch since i purchased it. Cought a couple of muskies and a few smallies in the low 20's with it. Easiest 10/10 rod in a long while for me. I just ordered the 7103-5 model, plan on using it as a do everything rod for when I travel. What have you been throwing on yours? I use mine prima...

Re: What's the most you would pay for a used rod?
The only used rods that i'd be willing to shell a decent amount of $$$ for is the Megabass line of rods from the mid 2000's, and that's because they all look like pieces of art, not fishing rods.

13Fishing Jabber Jaw cranks and El Diablo lipless cranks
Never bought any lures from 13fishing, but these look as good as your JDM lures from Jackall. Found them on clearance for $3-3.50 each, so obviously had to grab em for the amazing price, but can't use them this year since its freezing outside. Are they as good as they look?

Re: Who even buys Quantum reels these days?
The only Quantum reel that was worth it: Yea back in the early to mid 2000's, Quantum did have a few reels that were good. Same thing with Pflueger. Even up close, the reels looked sharp, with well machined parts, but if you look at both brands nowadays, they look worse than $100 ali reels. Typical...

Re: Studio Composite rods
Transworld and Paradox series? Not sure where you’re looking but they have lots of bass rods all the way down to M to MH-type rods (1 to 3 power). To me the 7606-5 fishes more like a USDM X-heavy cover flip/frog/punch type rod and it’s on the extreme light end of the swimbait rod spectrum. It CAN l...

Re: Studio Composite rods
Which model did you get? I use a 7607.5 quite a bit for those size baits but was also looking at one of the newer 6308. Got the 7'6" in the 6 Power. Now that i got a decent amount of time with the rod, i can definately say that i have not held any large'ish rods that were anywhere near as good. The...

Re: All new steez sv tw
Are they trolling with this ultimatecasting put on every part of the reel, or have they hired the 13fishing marketing team? Seemed very amateur to me. Ultimatecasting zero adjuster :laugh1: you are not even supposed to use it, and it ultimate casts for you. What the hell. As for the reel, i am glad ...

Re: Studio Composite rods
Received the rod today, and that thing is so damn well balanced. But i do hope they're not fragile because the walls of the blank do look pretty tiny for a rod made to handle baits over 4oz.

Who even buys Quantum reels these days?
Fifteen years ago, i guess they were good for your budget setup, i know i got into baitcasters with Quantum stuff, but now, with all the Chinese brands, and KVD gone, i don't know how they're surviving.

Re: New Zillion Limited
Kinda of a shame that this is what they're considering as limited. The zillion is most likely their most successful baitcaster (other than the tatulas, i guess) in over a decade, and it looks extra generic with all the black and red accents.

Really? A flat black reel is limited edition now? They're so boring with these colors.

Re: Tackle Shops to Visit in Japan
You're lucky. I've seen some ridiculous prices on rods when pruchased directly from those small shops in Japan. Something like a brand new Megabass Triza going for $130, Orochi XXX models sold for under $110 and so on. I'd visit all those "hole in a wall" small shops, they might have some crazy deals.
