Re: Updated Arsenal (I blame you TT)
Great setups? i got a question, whats the specs on the MB Diablo Evoluzion 68xti..? It's 1/4-1oz 12-25lb and moderate fast taper.(I think the jabberwock is 8-22lb) I love the rod, I used to Texas rig 1/4oz weights and it did well with that too. sweet, that's the same spec as what i have, i was wond...

Re: Spinning reels
Those are some fancy spinning reels! Do you have a favorite? I think I ended up with the Daiwa out of curiosity, the only difference I could really find in the store was that the anti-reverse on the stradic was a bit more on point and the bail wire on the Daiwa was thicker.

Spinning reels
I've always just bought baseline shimano 2500 reels, I've never had any problems with them. I went to my local shop with the intention of buying a stradic fk 2500. I ended up coming home with a procyon. Do you prefer Daiwa or Shimano spinning reels? are there general pros and cons to each? Its going...

Re: Megabass Carbon Head Destroyer
thanks, Gary. i thought the older version was faster for some reason. do you think the Faust would be a good choice for 1-1.5oz swimbaits and frogs or is it better suited for jig/worm? I use '16 Faust for frogs and punching, its a sweet rig. It has regular taper. I was kinda worried about that init...

Re: Frogs and Flouro
How well would 25lb flouro frog and punch? I have 1 combo for both techniques and I don't like braid. I'm wondering if it is too stiff to bomb a frog or to weak too yank 'em from the slop? I learn this while fishing with this old timer or rather watching him learn me something. I used to use braid ...

Re: Whose on top!
Looking at a xpride 7'3" XH. I've heard it is a standout rod in what is a very good line up. I had a blast punching and frogging last year, so naturally I need another combo for it.

Line guide replacement
I lost an eyelet on my st.croix mojo. It's the 3rd guide from the reel seat. Is it hard to replace the guide? Heat it, unwrap it, add a new one? I have none of the materials to fix it. Does time×material=new rod in this situation? The rod is out of warranty. Thanks
