Re: Daiwa steez to Loomis
Bronze, please give first hand experience of the new flippin' series from Loomis - very interested! Just hope I don't buy all the current Megabass lineup beforehand. Well, you can't go wrong with the Megabass rods as you know! As soon as I have the opportunity to fish with a few of them inste...

Re: Punchin: Steez 100SHL vs PX68R
I must be pretty fast and pretty coordinated then  Pumping the rod hasn't caused me to lose any fish that I'd have otherwise landed when fishing the cabbage at Guntersville for example - its just the opposite in fact. We're talking mats so thick they look like you can drive a truck across them....

Re: Durability of aluminum gears
I don't really care about a few grams difference between aluminum and brass gears or cost cutting measures by the big dogs out there. I change out my TD-ito gears to brass gears, my Steez to brass gears, my R+ to brass gears, and thankfully for the release of the 6.8:1 gear sets though too few in nu...

Re: Factory OEM Daiwa and Shimano Tuning Parts
Every time I look at Tackletrap the items are sold out Thanks for the good word guys. Regarding sold out items, we special order Daiwa and Shimano parts for our customers every week. We keep a pretty nice selection of popular Daiwa parts in stock as we can - some of them sell out or are only availa...

Re: Punchin: Steez 100SHL vs PX68R
This brings up another question about heavy cover fishing. Are guys really using the reel as a winch when attempting to remove a quality fish from heavy cover? I've seen a few guys who expect their reels to perform the duties of a Warn Winch in pulling a quality fish out of heavy slop. It seems to m...

Re: What's with all the $500 rods?
just like old people who buy Harley. They own a status symbol. The good news is the quality of a 200 dollar rod now is better than the 500 dollar rod of yesteryear. What exactly is yesteryear? 2007 maybe? Hopefully you're talking about much further in the past 8-) I'll show you a $500 rod from back...

Megabass F10-76XBJ Super Red Demon... just sayin' I may have found the rod! Just have to find the extra cash, lol. Have you had a chance to fish with it? Yes sir. I have fished the rod a lot. I don't have time to describe my experience with it right now and even if I did, most folks wouldn't ...

Re: Daiwa steez to Loomis
I'd say the closest BCR GLX would be the BCR 874 in terms of matching power and length, though the two rods clearly have their differences. I have my eye on a few of the new GLX "flipping" series rods- several of those rods are going to prove extremely capable of a lot more than flipping...

Strictly bottom contact.
Anything 1/4 to 1/2 oz, open water most often, 8 to 12lb FC most often, always where sensitivity is critical... light biting smallmouth in deep water don't stand a chance

I'd suggest that you consider the new Shimano Crucial CRC75HA. It's a fine mix of what you're looking for and has the best warranty in the business...

Re: Differences between Megabass F3-6104S & F3-610DGS?
Thanks for the reply Bronzefly. I figured if it went long enough you would answer. Any weight differences? Glad to help anytime with things I've fished myself... in terms of weight differences, nothing I can differentiate and I've fished both of them side by side. Others may have a different opinon...
