Re: Boca OS7 on Core 50/51 - Feedback

From my experience with cleaning my stock Core bearings, they turned out great. I soak them in a container of lighter fluid and use an ultrasonic cleaner. Sometimes I will hold the container on the air pump while it is pressurizing up. That actually works better than the ultrasonic cleaner. The tric...

You can push the bearings out with a small screw driver. They come out pretty easily.

Re: Calcutta 50b bearings

Conquest 50 or Calcutta 50 TE will blow the regular Calcutta 50b out of the water. I have both and there is a huge difference in performance on casting and retrieving. Once you use the conquest or 50TE you wont want to go back to the 50B. As far as carbon fiber drag goes. One of the washers in the 5...

Re: Decisions - Aldebaran vs. Metanium

I have some Aldebarans and they are pretty much a core 50 in a different color. The Metanium is a nice reel too. Get the Metanium because it's something different.

Re: Switch from Spinning Reels to BC

For most bass fishing techniques I use baitcast reels. I will use spinning reels for lighter lures and finesse techniques. I use whatever rod and reel combo is best for the job. I know a lot of guys try to lighten up some of their finesse baitcaster for smaller lures and light line. Personally, for ...

Daiwa SS700 handle.

I have a SS700 and would like to change the handle out.
I'm looking at a rosewood knob. I love the way they look and feel.
I'm just curious, but will any of the old handles from other daiwa reels fit on there.
I have seen some from Daiwa SS600 and SS800 on ebay. Will these fit or not?

It's about time to get some Daiwa support on here. :D
Shimano has done a great job of answering question and problems. =D>
I hope this Daiwa support can do the same. :big grin:

Re: Chronarch CI4+ owners, any update?

It only makes sense.
Carbon reel needs to have a carbon handle.
Why didn't Shimano think of that? :-k
