Re: Questions: Spin reel for Dropshot/Shaky head
1. Light <=7oz/200g Doesn't matter since most factory rods are design to balance with 8-9oz reels. Too light of a reel will make the rod tip heavy, actually making the rig less sensitive. 2. Large Spool diameter (line management Doesn't matter since you are using PE line. 3. Fast, for taking up sla...

Re: 2014 K.T.F Finesse Pixy
KTF has used unique gear sets in the past.
7.5:1 alphas, 7.9:1 Aldebaran etc.
where from I wonder.

Re: 2014 K.T.F Finesse Pixy
I've seen a tech at karil hold up the pixy in a breeze and the spool spun.

Re: Baitcaster set up confusion
Is it over spooled? Or the line underneath loose. I usually make a dozen big casts on max brakes and a big bait to bed it in.

Re: Daiwa Real Four spinners vs TD spinners
OK,
So I am not the only one.
Mechanically the these older reels have more in common to a Stella than a steez.
I have no need for 2004 reels as shimano has the equivalent however 2506s is definitely a reel I'll be seeking out at Tackleberry.
I want the Emeraldas 2506 so very much!

Daiwa Real Four spinners vs TD spinners
Last year I came into possession of a Daiwa Airity 2506. I was surprised by how light, connected and most importantly how well the line laid. With a very compact MG frame, wormshaft drive and amazingly smooth drag. I find I'm more drawn to the older pre real four reels. Given that I only recently st...

Re: Eposeidon reels
Man...something just clicked... Now I see the genius of okuma, 13 Fishing, quantum other like brands But selling their reels NOT at $40,50,90 they've immediately removed themselves away from the "cheap OEM" monika. As a lot of consumers judge quality by price, pricing themselves up amongst proper br...

Questions: Spin reel for Dropshot/Shaky head
Hi All, After this summer I came to understand my requirements but I'm sure input from this forum will help me greatly. For my light spin needs when using PE my choices are quite simple. However with PE in applications like dropshotting I've come to enjoy the following attributes: 1. Light <=7oz/200...

Re: Daiwa Tournament SS Spinning Reel. Educate me
From what I've read in other forums, they are great for an initial supertune. Polishing the gears, drag washers and adding a ball bearing to the worm makes a huge difference. If there is room in the no roller side of the rotor housing, it should be quite easy to balance the rotor too. Just looks lik...

Re: Shallow Spool upgrades?
We should have both a a shallow and a deeper spool available soon. Expect the deep spool(much larger demand by customers) to be available in the next few weeks....the shallow spool in a few months. We have many custom parts that will be available for the Concept series reels. Matt 13 Fishing When w...
