Re: Brake Setting and Casting Style - SV Zillion, Alphas CT
Thanks guys, at least I know I'm in the ballpark with my brake settings. I'm sure I'll dial it in better next Spring when JB season is in full swing!

Brake Setting and Casting Style - SV Zillion, Alphas CT
I must have unconsciously developed Shimano/centrifugal thumb over the years. My stock Zillion SV TW (with boost spool) I hover between brake setting 9 and 11 for light to moderate wind, 10lb Tatsu throwing 110 sized jerkbaits. When I venture down below 8 things start to get a little squirrely...doe...

Re: Swapping the SV Boost spool in the Zillion?
For example, PE on Boost spool and 14 Lb fluocarbone on 1016. Loafer, the 1016 spool is the G1 from previous (2016) Zillion SV TW correct? Do you think that one is better with fluorocarbon and the new Boost spool better with braid? I am looking for max distance casting into the wind, jerkbaits/shal...

Re: What BFS "+" Rod to Pair with Alphas CT SV 70?
Hello, Friend! I have Shimano 2020 Zodias 168L-BFS/2 for 7-11 g hard plastic (minnow, crank, vib) and i can say that very nice rod for these lures. As alternative i can offer you look at Megabass 19 LEVANTE F3-67LV or 19 LEVANTE F3-66LV. When I was choosing a my first BFS fishing rod, I considered ...

Re: What BFS "+" Rod to Pair with Alphas CT SV 70?
That being said, there are a ton of rods in the jdm BLX line and I am extremely pleased with it and am looking to invemt some “need” to justify another. Yes! Definitely looking at the BLX line...the lure range they list on those rods seem a little suspect, I'm combing through videos with google tra...

What BFS "+" Rod to Pair with Alphas CT SV 70?
Mainly for 1/4oz jerkbaits like the Rozante 77, 85SP, new xnanahan etc, on 7-8lb fluoro. Secondary would be for 1/8 jigheads + 3" swimbaits, shad type crankbaits like the Jackal Soul Shad and MB IxI, maybe a little bit of bottom contact but sensitivity isn't paramount. I prefer a slightly faster act...

The Hobie Lynx is 45lbs hull weight...not gonna get lighter than that unless you go inflatable.

Re: 2021 steez ags rods
It's approximately 112g or 4 oz. I've used mine for Vision 110's and Pointer 100's quite a bit and I like how it performs. I tend to use the 6'9" Medium Universal Light for jerk baits more than the MBV because I prefer the shorter length. I throw a lot of light swim jigs, cranks, flukes, smaller sp...

Anyone have a weight on the Moving Bait Versatile?
Looking for a longer jerkbait rod - 110s in MB/Duo/Jackall rerange etc - from kayak and shore.

Re: Finesse Swimbait Head
Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll pick some of those up and try them out. I’ll probably try the Gamakatsu round heads as a cheaper alternative too The only 2 jigheads I can find stateside that come in 1/4oz and a #1 -1/0 size (quality) hook are the keitech super rounds and the Santone Zaldain lil...

Re: Which Model Luvias Airity
So, I decided I am finally going to bite the bullet and pick up a daiwa luvias airity. It's going to be paired with an orochi XX ronin. Used primarily for small jerkbaits and topwater and small finesse paddle tails. Maybe some weightless or light bottom contact. Plan on running 10 lb braid to fluro...
